Well, mine is a wagon, but I am running a 30mm in the front and a 18mm in the rear. But, Wagons didn't even have a sway bar in the rear from factory.

I used to have a 27mm front bar, and stepping up was noticeable. Yes, the turn in was sharper and there is less front end roll. The trade off is a slightly stiffer front end when the wheels have bumps to deal with independently of each other, but I have no issues with the ride, and neither does the family.

Cheers
BenJ

Thanks Ben.

So I'm guessing we'll worth the upgrade to a 30 then? You wouldn't change back?

Yours is the non adjustable 30?

Cheers,
Tim

Yep, mine is non adjustable, which is apparently what the middle setting on an adjustable would be.

Mine is a Selby branded bar, and I am very happy with it.

You have to run very thin bushes in the D Brackets but it all works as it should.

Cheers

Sweet thanks mate... I was leaning toward the 30... Just not sure what to pick for a rear bar... Not sure if just going up one compliments it well or there is the need to go up two sizes there as well... The sedan bars were 20 and 24 maybe...

My advice is to go with the thicker bar to match the front

This will keep it more balanced front to rear.

Cheers

Any luck with 30mm sway bar yet. Have had one for a while too, and running thin bushes isnt the half of it. Front bushes are basically just a layer of grease on mine. Cheesy grin. You can convert to a later model AU bracket easily enough, change the bracket for fatter, probably advisible- will stop you thinking the front end of you car is broke just becuase you cant find the source of a faint clunk when at full lock driving over bumps.

and yeah, what Benj said. Helps turn in. Was a little disapointed that it did not improve 200kmh full braking and cornering.... Well, it probably did.... Just more noticable in everyday driving maybe.

then again, just put some camber on the fronts. Hectic I think you Aussies would call it.

Cheers,
Tim

Hey Mate,

Website photo?

{DESCRIPTION}

Click the image to go to the page...

Na just 4 wires... Power in... Ground... Tacho in... And Output... Actually it's a really out so two wires there but I just hooked the power to one and hey presto it became switched power...

Fairly straight forward... Just fiddling around and getting it set up right and as of yet mine has never given one ounce of trouble... If I listen hard or turn the cd player off I can hear it click under the dash and no we have success...

Cheers,
Tim

Oh ok nice, just need to find a cheap au vct engine with decent k's etc, gonna do the sump mods also, don't want to touch the k-frame for when if I need to sell it and keeping the engine etc, and no really into cams changing so no biggy with having the vct.

And that rpm comes already made up yes?

no sir... it's a kit... comes in parts and you spend an hour with a soldering iron making it up...

Can you solder? If so it's not really that hard to do... You've basically won the battle if you can solder and if you need help matching components to values sing out or PM me and I'll help you through it...

Same sort of thing from MSD or similar will set you back a few hundred bucks...

Yeah the AU VCT cam is fiddly and you're "dialing" it in as I did then you really have to stress over where the cam is in relation to the crank all the time as you're doing it...

Cheers,
Tim

yeah no worries mate... if you own a multimeter (even just a cheap one) so you can do the resistances without needing to multiply out the band colour values then that'll be easier on you too...

No worries mate... I'm normally never far away so feel free to drop us a line and I'll help you out...
