As in the Ghia hood ornament? If so I think it will look good, it would just look like a Fairmont Ghia then.

Nice, real nice! Dare I say it even though I love the Fairlane wheels, these news one suit the car far better. Fantastic choice!

Looks good.
I had Kinforest tyres on my old wheels , wasnt my choice they were the ones that come with the cheap deal I got.
Enjoy your first trip in the rain......................................... when you can get an ED with a 360000km old motor that rattles , smokes and generally keeps dying in the a*** repeatedly crossed up you get a fair idea about the tyres wet weather abilities.

EVL098, imagine the same thing but with bald edges, and behind a very healthy EF. Good fun until the GF slaps you.

Looks awesome Fordfairmont. I didn't think the front needed to go lower but now it appears that it does. Can't wait for some better pics.

Looks good i reckon, would suit the ghia badging quite well.

I probably would of kept mine on if they were printed on both sides of the car and if they were in chrome it would look mint being on a Fairmont. It would also save all my dumb people like some of cousins and uncles coming up to me asking is it a v8?

Is that ghia ornament badge thing for the bonnet still going on?

How much do people ask for the hood ornaments? They are not solid, they have a spring in them so they cant just be snapped off. they can also rotate 360 degrees, having said that they still can be broken off but I have never had a problem with mine.

Dunno what the prices are like over in Aus but over in NZ i can get one from a wrecker second hand for about $50 or so.

Thats interesting with the ornament have a spring though, a lot better than the mercedes design lol, ive seen a lot of the merc's with broken ornaments on the hood. Thats one thing that put me off getting one in the first place or else i would of got one to match the grill :)

next idea ive been working on, and have sumbitted a design/placed an order for today is custom "4.0i computer torque control" stickers on the doors.

some people wanna debadge everything, and rip them off, but i think they look good so im gonna get them done in the exact same lettering/size but with the "4.0i" section a ghia spec Gold colour, and the rest of the letters done in chrome.

im trying to get a few extra ones made up for spares, and will sell a couple off as well to recoup costs.... its only a pissy little mod, but what do you think?

photochop of what it will look like, sorta :)

Great idea, attention to detail like that makes for a great mod, particularly when its got a bit of a twist like the gold lettering.

I'm not sure yet. The way im thinking the ornament is made from plastic which means any tosser could walk up and snap it off, which leaves me with a big hole in the bonnet until i could find another one.

Everyone keeps asking stupid prices for them, which makes it hard to find spares

s**t are they going for good money, what roughly are people asking for them as I've got one, somewhere, I didn't think they were worth anything.

by the way, I believe the merc ones have some sort of spring setup on them to, but not quite as good having the wire thick base, and an extra damn tight spring.
