Bloody nice AU Fairmont mate.

One things for sure, you always have your cars paint come up like new :P

Maybe lower it slightly, just an inch or so. Seeing as you have the VCT, dont worry about a cam, just buy a snort M112 manifold and rock and roll :D

haha, boost would be great, but so would owning a money tree

and yeah it will be getting lowered only 30mm, then am getting whitewalls done on these 16" tyres, so wont lose any comfort, but will look slightly better at the same time

the AU's are a bit of an ugly duckling, but it drives superb, hence why im loving it over the e-series

If your not doing any other mods you could piece the gear together over time

White walls should look good.

I have no idea what diff it has, will have to check it out. It revs at 1950rpm @ 100kph so i assume its got the 3.45's

It could be the handbrake, but i'll let the local brake/exhaust fitter go over it for me as he never really charges much anyway

And thanks for the comments to the rest of the posters, good to see a factory ford can still be as appreciated as a modified one!!

AFAIK IRS means 3.45's

The whitewalls make those rims look 10x better already, as do the clear side repeaters :)

I dont think that is true. My fairlane Ghia has IRS and it only has a single pegger and 3.23 diff. I think you could opt for the LSD, but i am pretty sure they are just the single spinner standard.

My Fairlane sits on about 1950 rpm at 100kmh, but it is a V8 so i dont know if theat would affect it much.

I believe VCT's got 3.45's in the Ghia but the V8's were 3.23

BTW beautiful car mate. I had a option between a S2 VCT or a S1 V8 and decided to go the V8 but in some ways I do wish I had a S2/S3. Lower NVH and better brakes and less bugs.

Mate, let us know how that Derale cooler goes. I was tempted to buy one of their coolers a while ago (13105) but had a toss up with a plate and fin Davies Craig cooler and still can't decide which one to spend the money on
