you wont keep it stock. for sure nice looking fairmont ghia. is it a wagon (more weight on the back means more tyre smoke) or a stupidly made sedan?

Nice Au Mate

Good to see you got that Ghia mate, looked mint in the pics, thought it would be only a matter of time till you owned it
Interior and exterior look to be in excellent condition. Engine bay came out great after the quick service and detail too, nice work. Will be watching for updates on this, i reckon it will see a few mods |

Very nice unit there, now get rid of that plumbing to the Throttle body, replace with the BA type and the adapter into the Air Cleaner box with an EF one then get yourself a piece of 75mm pipe about 100-150mm long and you will be in business.
BTW, the BA hose and adapter DO fit on to the throttle body and will even bolt to the inlet manifold. I have done it, you will also need an EA-ED Vent hose and a piece of 15mm plastic pipe to join your original hose so you can have a vent hose running to the BA adapter. Some pics for you to look at: Attachment: Cleaner.JPG Attachment: AC.JPG

Theres a bloke on ACF with an EF Ghia V8 wagon. FordFairmont, you win. Looks excellent, the grey interior looks good too. |

{USERNAME} wrote: oh yeah, that looks like a nice candidate..... being a series one would need to upgrade the brakes as well though i would love a V8 Ghia, but the thought of over $1000+ rego in QLD each year... f**k that s**t V8 Rego is $975, I just let mine lapse as it's getting a major rear end rebuild. Hows it ride with the IRS? My first suggestion for you is to check your upper control arm outer bush for wear, they flog out really easy. If yours are, I have some control arms you can get some new bushes put into, and I could give you a hand to fit them as it's a pain in the backside to do by yourself. Looks to be a neat car mate, hope it does you well.
