If it will not match some other parts of interior it will be no good.
You can get reborn leather skins off e-bay, but it’s not cheap- around 600 for the set.

I was thinking the back seat would have to be done in the same theme, and also maybe recolor the top crash pad of the dash to be black too.

I wonder what the door trims would look like with the leather part done in black? I might have to mod a pic i have.

Cheers

I reckon the seats could look awesome like that, it does break up all the grey nicely. As said, re-trim a few other bits like the door card inserts, centre console lid and maybe spray the dash fascia black to tie it all in together and it'll look great

Cool. I think i will have to get my pic editing skillz (lol) a bit better & do some more pics of interior bits, like the door trims & the back seat done, see what it could look like. :D

Damn weather today, i have not long go home from work, and it's raining. Can't work on the car today. :(

Cheers

Lucky bugger!

My EB Ghia has been hit by another driver tonight! I was parked & the other driver backed into me, front guard, drivers front door are both bent, side skirt is damaged, repeater light is cracked, door hinges are probably shagged too. Police report has been done, gotta wait til morning to speak with my insurance to make a claim & tomorrow arvo i'm going to see my panel beaters about a quote & getting the job done.

I might ask them how much to cut the hole for the sunroof & mount it in the roof for me, as well as drill & fit the drain tubes, while I'm there...... I can sort the hood lining out myself.

I think i need a stiff drink! I'm pretty p****d off!

Cheers

Damaged door hinges sounds not that good. :(

Mazda 323, Mid to late 90's. Heard her bumper cracking & my side skirt. impact, about 5-10kph i reckon, no more than 15-20, she was backing out of her driveway. Copped the door half way long it, across the hinged area of the door & half the front guard. Front guard is bent in about 10mm in one place, door trim also has some small damage as well, possibly due to door bending?

I hope it's not a write off, but it's insured for $8k so it will take a lot of damage to write it off, then again, door hinge or A pillar damage may change that. I wonder if the top of the guard has damaged the lip on teh side of the bonnet? It's too cold & wet to go out & take pics right now, plus it's too dark to properly assess.

Cheers

Never know definitely how particular impact will result and what is on mind of insurance company.
Friends wrote off their Flane in immaculate condition- insurance paid about 3,5k for it. See photo. :(

Thx for the support Guys! That lane looks like it hard a hard hit, But circumstance plays a big part to the final damage outcome.

In the daylight, looking down over the door & guard you can see the gap is all shot to s**t, door & guard bent in. There is impact marks half way along the drivers door. My door trim has some damage on the outside edge, the door is so bloody sloppy on the hinge now it's not funny.

Drivers guard gap between it & bonnet is f**k up, bonnet, front bar has popped from it's side locating plastics on the drivers side. Side repeater is full of moisture / water. I can't tell if there is any damage to the A pillar.

Anyway, better get on the phone to the insurance & get this rollin. I have a spare guard for the car in the shed, I must remember to ask Shannons if they will buy it off me to repair the car with?

Cheers

Awww crap man, that sucks.

Well, at least you should be able to get it repaired.

You could be tempted to use it as an excuse to make one of the XR8s your daily however. hehe.

Hopefully you won't need to sucumb to such tempation if the news from Shannons is good.

Cheers

Yeah, it sucks, but that's life, and I'm not darryn hinch lol! Those who are about 25 & over may remember his catch phrase when signing off.... lol.

Shannons have said to take it to my panel beater of choice, so i'm heading up there later today. I'm fairly sure it can be repaired, but at what cost? I'm insured for $8k, so it shouldn't be written off for economic reasons. Depends on the A pillar.....

Yeah, it could be tempting to make an Xr8 my daily! The white one doesn't need too much more work on the firewall, filling up the holes, before i can put the guard, bumper & lights on to take it for a roady. At least it's on gas, so it wouldn't be too pricey for a daily.

For now, I shal be buzzing around in my mighty boy. It's probably greatful to be driven.

Cheers
