Thought you would like that one man.

I'm heading off to the panel beaters today, going to see what's happening with my Eb Ghia. Have to visit the wreckers across the road anyway, so going to "drop in" on them.

Cheers

The EB Ghia is still getting paint work done to it, might be done by the end of this coming week. I hope so, missing driving it.

I did some fordmodding today, mum come over with her ED Futura, and i removed her center console & fit the power window console from the silver parts car to her car, after cleaning it up. Also put in a new cruise module, and now that's working again. So that is 1 part of the job down, 4 more parts to go, that's fitting the power windows & trim to each door....

Anyway, stuff to do, will give another update soon.

Cheers

ROFL dude, not exactly, but a power window conversion has been on the cards since i got the silver parts car, as manual window winders are hard to find in good shape s/h, and i have not found new supplies. Easy answer is power window conversion. Not hard to do on a futura with cruise fit already. Mum has wanted me to fix her windows for a while. When i got the silver one i said yeah mum, i will fix them alright, with a power window conversion! lol. Mum isn't complaining....

Mum already has my old velour seats in her car, I got the drivers one reco so it's like new. Now it's getting a power window conversion, and if my mate doesn't wanna come & let me check out his exhaust, to see if its as stuffed as i think it is & to let me swap on the exhaust from the silver parts car, mums going to get that too. I have to measure it, but it's a cat back, with the front muffler missing, and i think it's a 2.5" as well.

I do have 2 other falcon's in my driveway to work on too, but the jobs i need to do are big jobs, need an extra set of hands to do them, and a nagging mum is good motorvation to get her job done first!

My mate has lent me an air nibbler, so maybe soon I will play with cutting some steel before attempting to cut the hole in the roof of the silver one. Once i have practice cutting with the nibbler, i need to make a template to transfer onto the roof, then cut away......

Cheers

And remember to check exactly where there is any double layers of metal or struts that the nibbler will hit and / or grab on. Should be reasonably clear from memory, but using jigsaw on the offending sections can be a bit of a bugger. Nice and easy and don't use my impatient technique........

Would be nice to chop the pillars and put the whole thing in the water jet.........

lol man. I will be cutting small holes from the bonnet as a test, don't have to worry about supports and so on... As for the roof, it's a single skin, that hole isn't' hard at all, i just want practice before i go cutting up my good cars!

WildEB -> Depends, do you have cruise control? If you do, you should also have a white plug under the center console for the power window switches. If that's there, it's a plug, bolt & play job for a power window conversion. If not, seats & carpet out, swap body loom & then fit all that back in. Then do power window conversion.

Cheers

Wild EB, if your car is a series 1 it may not have the cruise module under the centre console. In my sereis one, it is located under the dash to the right of the steering column.

If this is the case with yours, then you may not have the power window wiring in the floor loom from factory.

My EB series 11 had factory cruise, and the power window floor loom.

Cheers
BenJ

Sounds like your power window conversion will require a body loom swap as well....

Cheers
