Fair enough dude. I will keep that in mind. You prefer manual or auto, just for info's sake? I dunno what trans this other car has. Also not sure if it's for sale just yet, it's been pranged in the front & it's been sitting for a long while, so it might be.

On the topic of Xr8's & V8's in general. I started up the white Xr8 to move it, so I could mow the weeds in the front yard. The yard looks a bit tidier now, and the Xr8 has finally run the gas tank out, so I can go for another round of draining gas from the tanks in the backyard into a car to be used.

Anyway, I gotta get back into the shed, tools to be cleaned....

Cheers

Cool man, will keep that in mind.

Thought I'd take a pic of something I have for the torry. Something I have dropped a lot of folding on, a little while ago, to have it setup correctly to suit the turbo.
Attachment:
P1010034.JPG

ICE Race series coil & 9mm race series leads. Blue coil bracket & a fully rebuilt & re-curved Bosch VH commodore 6cyl dizzy, to suit a 173ci red motor with 9.2:1 comp & 9psi boost, running LPG. This coil setup can be upgraded with a booster in the circuit before it to bump the voltage up to around 16v for a much fatter spark.

Time for bed I thinks...

Cheers

Thx dude. I have some chrome bits for the engine too, but I won't bother with them until it's time to put it back in it home...

Time for a small update. Have not been ford modding at all the last few days. Have not even been holden or suzuki modding either. Been too busy.

However, I have to say
Image............

I'm the care taker of a e28 charger for a few days, it's a bit rusty but slowly getting fixed, the owner is a mate who is moving house, needed a place to stash the charger, so it's resting amongst a couple of Xr8 falcon's atm. :D

I have done a quick repair job on my 6x4 trailer this arvo, fit some bolts to stop the leaf springs slipping out of the rear slipper when they should only slip back & forth, not side to side. Whoever built that trailer originally should be shot, it was so poorly done. I have done a few mods to it to keep it haulin my crap around, as I can't afford to replace it yet, a cheap new 6x4 seems to be about $800, out of my budget range atm. I also don't have the time to build something, which is a pitty because I reckon I could build a great little 6x4 for similar money to a basic one you could buy.

Anyway, stuff to do, chat later....

Cheers

ToranaGuy

E28 is one of the codes on the body tag, think it means poverty pack lol.

I'll put up a pic soon. It's only here for a few days till it moves again.

Cheers

Storing this for a bit, don't worry, it's covered up now... Xr8's on the nature strip during the pic shoot. One is moving back into the driveway/parking lot when I put my 6x4 trailer back up on the front lawn again.

Runs a 245 & column auto. Has option codes for a radio & heater iirc, there are only 3 codes on the tag lol. Yeah it's rusty, but not too far gone. I have another mate with a few val's that are parts car's, and repair sections can be cut from those to fix the charger up.

Cheers

The outter on the drivers side is stuffed, passenger side is fine. Inner on the drivers side is ok too. Has rust in the floor on drivers side, easy fix. Rusty around the bottom of the windscreen, but that section is the same as a sedan & plenty of them around to rape for cut sections lol.

Here's a pic I don't think I have posted up, my g/f's bro in his HX GTS Mockup & me in my EB GT Mockup, out at puffing billy, on a cruise in November, with the Veteran Car Club of Vic, the old dodge bro's touring wasn't ready for the rally/cruise this year, first time in over 30 years it hasn't been out.

Merry Xmas everyone!

Been busy working on a few things, not too much to update the thread with, except that I swapped my leads, dizzy cap & rotor button on the Ghia yesterday, car now runs on LPG again, but badly. Either the coil is on the way out or the wiring loom feeding the coil is damaged & not allowing the coil to charge up properly.... grrr.

Anyway, was busy moving a charger the other day. My mate Tom got a few good pics of the Ghia towing it to it's new home, but I have to work out how to post them here, might need to download & re-upload to fordmods.

Anyway, stuff to do, will update soon.

Cheers

ToranaGuy
