Damn spell checker corrected it, and I didn't pick it up lol.

They put on a good live show, it was my 3rd time seeing the Foo Fighters play.

Got the primer almost done on the bonnet & guards today. It's been applied & bonnet & 1 guard rubbed back, gotta do the other one soon. Run out of 1000grit paper. Grrrr.

Cheers

Have not had a chance to work further on the Tx5 turbo, which is really annoying, but a few other things have had to be done first, like the a/c belt, idler pulley & bottom rad hose on the Eb Ghia, did them tonight. Had to do a few other things around the house too, and I carted some more scrap off to the yard today, another $150 in my pocket lol.

Also swung past pirtek & picked up some bits I need for the mighty boy. Might get the new rad & fan installed soon, now I have the final bits required, so the fan switch can do it's job. Well that's the plan anyway.

Might get to work on the Tx5 turbo tomorrow arvo, if so I hope to get the guards painted.

Cheers

Happy Holidays ppl!

Just before Xmas I managed to get the rad support's primer sanded back & ready for a coat of paint. Got that coat of paint on it this evening after work. Waiting for it to dry so I can rub it back, maybe tomorrow night after work.

Also picked myself up a new tool chest & trolley in the boxing day sales, Saved $499 off the retail price of them. Repco 5 draw trolley & 9 draw chest. Probably shouldn't have spent up on them, but it will help get the rest of my tools in one place, which will help to get jobs done faster. All part of the plan to neaten up my damn shed in the new year.

Pics in a min.

Cheers

Nice work on the Rad support. Should look like a bought one when you are done.

New toolboxes are always a WIN in my book.

Cheers

Thanks Ben, I'm hoping it looks pretty good when done. As for the tool box, yep, always Win when you get a new tool box, except for the wallet lol. I think the $499 I spent, rrp $998, will be worth the time savings & less lost tools it will help me with.

Cheers

The weather being a whore is an understatement. Wasn't too hot or windy or cold tonight lol.

I don't remember doing the sale last year, worked last boxing day too.

Yeah they are a nice chest, nice & heavy, solid feel too. Very very similar to Sidchrome chests.

lol man, So it's not a Sidchrome, it's on par with my Kinchrome setup I already have, and miles ahead of the Supatool setup I have as well. I know a few mechanics that have been using them for years without issue, so they stand the test of time.

It was cheap @ $499, RRP $998! I was going to spend almost that on a Kinchrome 7 draw trolley to go with the rest of my setup, but this was much better value for money.

I think it's too windy tonight to paint, but I can get the rad support rubbed back & ready for the 2nd coat...

Cheers

Nice Toolbox and good price too. I paid $450 for my KC ProAm 5 drawer trolley maybe 5 years ago. Still going well even after the lock got effed after someone decided to open it with a screwdriver when I went on holidays  .

Don't quote me, but I think that Repco tools are made by Sidchrome.

Thanks,

Evan.

Thanks dude. I've been told the Repco gear is made in the same factory as the Sidchrome stuff over in Taiwan. There's probably a lot of truth to it.

My 2 Kinchrome pieces I have are a few years old now, still going strong.

Cheers
