Talking GT40p's, cam, pacemakers. Almost a pitty to put a HO intake on it, but it's much easier to keep this red EB dual fuel, than to mod it to straight LPG, and I don't have a GT40/explorer/au setup to go on.

I worked out what the carby type manifold is, it's a weiand stealth. I wonder if I should keep this or sell it? I might even swap it + a little bit of cash someone's way for a au/explorer intake, throttle body & maf.

The hotted up 5.0 & T5 are in the bay, bolted up, we packed up & turned in for the night, it's too late to keep working on it now. Will do some more fiddly s**t tomorrow. Gotta order a few new bits from work on monday too.

I've also decided that I'm going to get a mal wood auto peddle pin, I really cbf pulling the dash to change the peddle box over. With the LPG wiring & alarm wiring, there's too much there to mess with. As it is I already need to move the LPG wiring, as it was previously run thru the clutch cable hole. Not anymore lol.

Cheers

Thinking about the 5.0 today at work, I have ordered a few new hoses for it, should probably grab a new dizzy cap, rotor & leads too, as these items I have are not the greatest. I also worked out that I need to go thru the large pile of wiring I have here to go to scrap, see if I can't harvest the right colors so I can re-route the LPG wiring.

Didn't get time to order the peddle pin today, might do that tomorrow.

Cheers

Picked up a couple more bits like a new dizzy cap & rotor from work, some hose clamps, a heater hose and a sidchrome 600mm breaker bar because they are on sale. Finally have a good breaker bar, sick of breaking the cheapy $20 items lol.

Got a fair bit of progress done on the Xr8 tonight after work, a couple more nights with weather like this & it will be ready for a road test. There's not too much more to hookup in the engine bay before I can sort the gas system wiring & give it a test fire on petrol. I still need to get a couple of bits to fix the gas system....

Cheers

Thanks Ben, if the weather is good tonight I reckon I'll hit it again, get the coolant & heater hoses done, rad fit, air box & so on, then will see how I feel about fitting the top half of the inlet, might fix the LPG wiring first. Otherwise I'm fairly sure it won't start on petrol or LPG.

Cheers

It wouldn't be a straight swap lol, but I have to keep the impco 425. The stealth is close to $300 from a performance shop that I shop at regularly, so they are not exactly cheap. In regards to the au / expolorer manifold & setup, there is one on eBay I'm watching atm, trying to get some freight quotes but I think it isn't worth shipping it that far.

I picked up the pulleys, tensioner & a bypass hose today at work, got a belt on order too, but damn it's cold tonight!

Cheers

Your probably right!. Although I have the AUII XR8 220kw ported manifold, and its not been installed since tickford porting. Probably a really good thing for an engine like that ;).

This is gonna be a great little car. Ive got the 185kw engine in the EL now, and im about to go buy me an ebay LPGi kit to put in there instead of the Airod Variable mixer I have now

Love those Pedal pins too. Ive used 3 now.

Which injection kit are you planning on using on a 5.0 Nigel?
