so is it possible to fit the ea,eb,ed aux shaft in the au engine.Is that what its called a aux gear is it hard to change

im pretty sure it is possible. you need to remove the timing case and sump to get to it i believe... but if the motor is out and pulled down it should be pretty straight forward.

yes you can..
im actually going to fit the eb aux shaft into my au engine to get it going again..
i removed the timing cover to get it out but it looks like i need to remove either the sump or the head to get the timing cover to seat again...

I believe you can just lower the front of the sump a bit to get it in Troy.

im pretty sure the timing case has to be removed, to not ruin the sump seal youll have to loosen the sump bolts and drop it a bit

yep..
i came off easy..
the sump seal is still in tact so is the one for the head..
i might coat the seal up with silicone and just whack it on..lol
i probably repair the engine and sell it off anyway??
