not without a hiccup. i took it for a blue slip and the prick said because my vin number was not stamped straight the car needed to go to the rta for a vin identity confirmation check..
im like f**k you, go f**k your mother!!!

so i took it somewhere else and no problems.. another $60 for the engineering design check and the rta stung me for $103 for the hell of it..

but im happy now its all done.. :D :D :D :D :D :D

Did you end up having to do emmisions testing?
or did the engineer not care?

Great news Troy.

Let's hope the Boys in Blue don't have cause for you to test it all out.

All we have heard for years, is that it is impossible to legally have a supercharger installed here in NSW, and you have just gone a thrown all that out the window.

Good Stuff.

Cheers

I don't know where you heard that.
There was a turbo charged AU engineered in NSW ~2years ago.
He didn't even do an emmisions test.

Its always been possible, but it comes down to weather people were willing to spend the ~$1000 to get it done.

Clearly $1000 is worth it IMO.
Not everyone agrees though.

Fair enough.

I guess I would find it difficult to justify that sort of money to get a piece of paper to 'verify' the work I have already done, is now legal.

But, sometimes piece of mind is priceless.

no. no need for the emission test..
on the technicality that the factory ecu, purge canister, new catalic converter.ect was still fitted..
in other words the ems was not fitted..

Thats money well spent IMO. Yes its only for a piece of paper, but its the difference between my plod sticking a yellow label on ya front windscreen or not. That being said, it wont stop a cop from giving you a canary, but it will hopefully give them reason to back off considering you have done the right thing and got it legally passed.

Quite interesting the results of not having to do an emmisions testing.
Funnily enough, the Engineer you've used AKZ Vehicle Engineering is also on the Vic engineers list.
Might be an option for Victorians wanting to go legal.

Especially since in vic, the emmisions test is ~2000, if you can bypass it with the stock ECU, then win win.

Was the engineers name John Wilson?

Just means you've done things proper.
doing things right can be better then spending $2k on an emmisions test :P
Maybe he'll do me a special deal since we both have the same name lol.
