Maybe he'll do me a special deal since we both have the same name lol.

Keep us posted troyman. I've really enjoyed reading this build and have picked up plenty of ideas for my vehicle. Can't wait to see results with some more boost through it!

oookkkk :)
while im waiting for the smaller supercharger pulley to be made..
i decided to fix my constantly breaking passenger side engine mount!
so far since ive fitted the supercharger i have broken 2 new engine mounts..(aftermarket rubbish.lol)

this time i fitted a spare second hand one i found in my spare parts..
and made up two L brackets a m10 bolt and a sway bar link pin rubber..
this should stop them from breaking..and help with stopping the pipe work hitting the bonnet on hard launches..

here is some pics..

Very Very Clever Troy.

I like it a lot.

Better than the old short links of chain we talked about fitting to our V8 Vals LOL

yea thanks ben..

i was going to go with the brutal Indestructible chain but decided to something unique..
and this way it still has a bit of Cushioning from the link pin rubber..

Troyman just wondering, is your buldge full metal and used for a purpose or it is purely aesthetics...either way loooks sweet.. love that ed.

Troy's bonnet is all metal and the fabrication was done by SWC. Troy did the prep and paintwork himself.

That's a really impressive idea mr Troy... If you used a rubber at each end, you'd probably have exactly the same movement as the original mount except indestructible.. Much better than the chain idea I've used myself before. (XP 6cyl)

I'm hoping to have to do something similar soon... just need to stop having children long enough to get it done.

hey troy did you think about putting another bush in the middle of L brackets thus creating a temp mount as well as a chain replacement?

as benj said ..
its all steel and has had the centre section removed and the bulge grafted into the bonnet.

the original concept was to have rubber top and bottom but i wanted to reduce engine lift to ensure the pipework didnt hit the bonnet..

yea i did but i didnt think it would make much difference...
