Did you notice much of a power increase with the 12psi pulley troy?

ill get back to on that...lol i havnt driven it yet as its raining here at the moment!!
it almost pointless trying to test for added performance in the wet as all it does is wheel spin!!

hahaha. yeah I know what you mean dude. bit of a joke in the wet. Let us know what its like when you get the chance to take it for a spin. Im keen to see what your thoughts are.

I forget, did you have an intercooler setup on your car or is it still non intercooled like mine?

im hoping to take it for a drive tonight..
no intercooler at the moment..

the car was making about 8.5 psi normally with the 9-10psi pulley..
so i upgraded to the 11-12 psi pulley in a hope to get it up to a honnest 10psi ,maybe 11psi??

yeah that sounds about right. I hope there wont be any pinging with the added boost. I was told that if I was to up the boost, Id need to cool the intake temps more so or add higher octane fuel.

Do you know what the pulley size is in diameter?

i just came back from a test run with the new pulley!!
it made a fairly noticable difference..
its amaising what 3mm off the pully size and 2 psi can do..lol
it now starts making boost at 1800rpm in 4th gear..
i did it in 4th because it all happens to fast in 1st and 2nd to get a reading..
previously ive had my rev limiter at 6000rpm to get the extra boost out of it..lol
the first run it made around 12-13psi @ 6000rpm  too much
so i re set the rev limiter 5800 rpm and its making about 10.5 psi.. :D
tomorrow ill drop the rev limiter to 5700rpm to keep it the 10psi mark...
there doesnt seem to be any pinging up top but it does still ping on full throttle @ about 3000rpm like it was before... but thats tune related.. i might remove some timing from the ignition map and see how it goes..

if you are gonna add a air to air later on.. (or water to air for that matter) you might want to go for the extra boost because you'll loose pressure adding the cooler... couple of PSI drop is likely.

LOL. Thats awesome troy. So do you think you have more power or is the power actually noticed more quickly?

overall yes.. :D
as its making boost a little earlier the torque comes on earlier and where its max torque was @3500rpm, it now seems to have that same feel @ about 3200rpm and now has even more at 3500rpm..
the same goes with top end, it feels like the power it was making at 5800rpm is now @ 5500rpm so anything above that is extra..??

Hearing that has put a smile on my face. It sounds like your overall power has increased as well as the power coming on quicker as you said. I never rev my car over 5500 as it is.

So are your 'pinging' issue attributed to your state of tune rather than the pulley itself?

yes the pinging issue is due to the tune not being right and the ecu not being set up corectly..
it was fine untill the day after the tune, then it started pinging..
the original tuner gave me stupid excuses as why it started pinging ..lol
i was told i messed up the tune because i connected the o2 sensor and ait sensor:roll: ..(although the o2 only adjusts fuel within 15% of idle and the ait was not activated when it was set up so what i did had no effect.).
in my opinion the tuner didnt add any air temp ignition compinsation in the ecu set up.
as soon as the intake temp rises over 30 deg c it starts pinging..
so its pinging because of too much ignition timing between 2800 and 3500rpm @ and over 30deg intake temp.
i have played with the tune a bit and removed some timing but i dont want to change it too much as im still not to confident with modifying the tune..
so since the original tune was done ive added the 3" exhaust, added more boost,
now i just got to find a decent tuner to tune it again..

there is a dyno day comong up in 2 weeks so im hoping to have it tuned by then??
if not il just remove more timing my self to be safe....
