What about the factory XR6T intercoolers

yep..
ive just been looking at ebay and they are fairly cheap too..
the problem i can see is getting the cooler and pipework to fit..
as there is not much space to run pipe through the inner guard on the ed,without chopping away at the front end, as the supercharger and intake take up the whole front corner..
i know that fitting intercoolers to turbo box cars is fairly easy and common..
but doing it and keeping the aircon and getting the pipework
around the abs and purge canister without chopping away at the front bar and front lip is looking difficult..
unless i can run a pipe down between the front of the charger and radiator to the cooler?
then back over the top of the radiator from the drivers side to the intake?
maybe im just too fussy???
i have got an intercooler from a merc that has plastic tanks with 2 1/2 outlets.
its about 1m long by about 2" thick... but i dont think it will fit though..???
ive been looking at water injection as this is easy to fit and dont take up much space,
but i dont know how well its going to work?...

Troy, you may have to look at a different front bar.

I know you don't want to change the great look you currently have, and I understand why, but, sometimes you just have to.

We can have a bit of a brainstorm on Friday.

Cheers
BenJ

what im saying is personally i like the sprint lip front better.. :)
and then if i have a hybrid front bar, then the side skirts probably wont match, then the rear bar will need to be changed to suit..

Exactly my point re you not wanting to change a fabulous look. You currently have a complete and excellent look, which we all like a lot.

I agree that you should explore all other options before considering changing bars ect.

Cheers

Im in the same boat as you Troy. I got stuff all room under my bonnet also, and have chosen not to hack it up for the sake of power. Instead Im contemplating a w2a setup as it can fit under the bonnet with out too much issue.

Just need to make a heat shield up and the pipework will be minimal. The hardest part will be getting to fit the heat exchanger and thermo behind the bumper, which in essence is smaller than a a2a air cooler.

But like you I in 2 minds and could end up just leaving it as is to avoid the headaches

67RCE - how big are your inlet/outlets? Do you have an auto or manual?

What size is your cooler? Looks like a snug fit.
