Or like this, I know you have seen it but another way of doing things if you got access to a alloy bend and welder, maybe you have a silicone outlet which gives you the freedom to point outlet anyway you like

None at all, not even the slightest

Its showing 60c going in 23 - 28c coming out of cooler, zero effect from manifold and whole cooler actually is COOL to the touch at all times. Its a magnificent thing

sweet..
tim..
i dont know if you have read it or not but on the dyno day last sat my intake temps were 90 deg c..
so im thinking a cooler that would give me minimum pressure drop keeping temps down around 30deg c would be fantastic..

that setup is basically the only option I have for intercooling my car.

Tim, I assume a heat sheild over the headers is a must?

The heat shield should always be fitted, allows the cooler to work at max efficiency ....... which is what you want

ah, that sounds logical. I just need someone to make them up for us.

The barrel type w2a units look the goods. I think that is the best unit to buy based on the restrictions of the ford engine bays.

If you want a heat shield, just ask, we can supply bits and pieces as needed

Troyman

You can buy a system identical to FORDFAN from us, certainly no more testing to do, we have confirmed temps are low all the time

Let me know

update..
this week i started making a mounting bracket for the au coil pack..
there is 2 positions that i think would be ok to mount it..
im using the 1st one atm as the factory leads will fit and can still look tidy..
1 is actually in the original position..had to make a bracket as ed engine mounts are different to au(no where to bolt coil pack)..just got to get a coil pack to mark where the mountong hols are to be.
then start playing with wireing..
Attachment:

2 is mounting it to the rear of the rocker cover..
this way will be good for access but then custom leads may be needed?? unless i run the leads over and back ?? as the factory available ones will be way too long...
