finally back to modding the ed...lol
due to the faster acceleration of the supercharger , well it also needs to stop faster!!!
after the last few months of the ocassional brake cooking has warped the factory discs to the point of a bad steering vibration at slow braking conditions even when cold!
so considering im driving it to bathurst on saturday,
i purchased a set of cheap rda slotted rotors and new pads..
i was going to get a set of dba,s but @ $120 more than the rda,s and i would have had to wait about 5 days as the spare parts suppliers had none in stock..
so ill give the rda,s a go.....

They are the rotors I have on my car Troy. They do the job well. Depending on how hard you brake, and what pads your using,m you shouldnt have many issues with them, but give them time to bed in.

What pads you running with those Troyman? I was looking at the RDA's for my EF, thought they might be a better alternative to the dba's price-wise like you said, havent heard anything about the RDA rotors so far

im using bendix ct pads.. i didnt want the ulimates as the tend to chew the rotors..
the last set of std rda rotors i put on the old ea warped within the first week..
but i was a little hard on the ea ones...

but this time ill take it easy on the rotors untill they fully bed in...

today i went out to the pick n payless wreckers and found a au ghia that was still in tact (kind of)
i had noticed the indicator stalk on au's with cruise control have the cruise control on off switch on the stalk... hmmm
so i got it...
as i already have the ef wiper/indicator arms on the ed im going to mod the au one to fit so instead of the custom switch i have on top of the column shroud i can have more of a factory look..
next will be to mod the au steering wheel cruise buttons to fit the aftermarket steering wheel...

ok..
today i decided to fit the au indicator stalk to the ed..
a very fiddly task...lol
but it works great!!
now im on the hunt for a steering wheel with the momo bolt pattern, so i can use the factory momo boss kit that has the extra brass ring for the cruise set and dec switches, at the moment my buttons are on the top of the column shroud..
or i may consider re drilling the steering wheel thats on there??
then im going to try fit the au steering wheel cruise control buttons to the after market wheel...

here are some pics...

ef indicator arm on the ed..

Troy, is that the STANDARD EB/D column? I have an idea that I wanted to try of using an EF steering wheel on the the column and utilize the switches for the cruise. mmm looks good too :D

yep its the std ed column..
but unfortunatly the ef steering wheel dont fit..
what ive done is dis assemble the ed combination switch and an ef one aswell..
then fitted the ef arms into the ed combination switch.( springs and ball bearing flying in all directions)lol
now after dis assembling an au one ive found the arms are the same shape as ef.
so as you can see the au arm fits aswell..
but as i dont like the factory ed cruise wheel i put an aftermarket switch with the resistors from the factory set/decellerate buttons into the colum shroud instead..
but i now want to go further and use the au steering wheel cruise buttons..

Have you thought about looking at putting an AU centre shaft into the ED column and then running an AU or BA wheel? A Ticford Momo would look sweet.
I think eboost did it to his one?

yes i know the columns can be split so an ef upper can be fitted which can also take the au wheel but... i rather the aftermarket wheel options..its just trying to find one im happy with that is compatable with what in trying to do..

as i really like the wheel thats on there at the moment but my boss kit dont have the option for the extra ring for cruise control...
so im thinking re drilling my wheel to suit the momo boss kit might be the way to go???
