??? to install what? supercharger? fuel pump?

yes

well the supercharger kits are for ef/el so to use it in ed you need el manifold, belt accessories.
so to use this kit you need to do the bbm and serpentine conversion first..

the kit is about $4900, fuel pump is about $200..
the fitting part is easy!! done in about 2 hours..

Have you thought about ba badges mate?, looks smooth without the badges tbh.

If you colour code the bumpers it wont look as good, i think leave them as they are as it breaks up the white.

It looks sweet now why change it? im going to have to hear this new raptor you got there.

Brad

i just thought a change would be nice..lol..

the raptor sounds similar to before but at about 1500 there is a deeper humm type whine and considering its got the 12psi pulley its really pumping the air through it now...

Yes Mr Troy, you should do the DOHC conversion and document every single step of the electrical work.....

You must be rolling in cash to be considering that so soon after the SC and all of it's expenses....

i wouldn say im rollin in cash..lol
but ba engines are now available from $450- $700 and the only thing i would need to change in regards to the supercharger is the mounting bracket..
the k frame has already been modified and the rest seems pretty straight forward..
its just something im starting to look at.. as i dont know how long the au engine will last with 11psi boost..

how much extra power do u think you'd get with a ba motor over the au motor and what changes/adaptions are involved to do so apart from mounting s/c mount bracket?

well physically the ba engine will bolt straight in, im currently looking at the ascessories,
from the info i have found so far, i need a different or custom power steer pressure hose, at the moment its looking like ill have to use the ba ascessories?? need to do some mearuring.
i dont know how much of a gain there would be over the au enging? maybe 20-50 rwkw?
i will probably run the after market ecu as i do know of a ba xr6t manual that is running an ems ecu with the vct disabled and is still getting 270rwkw so it keeps my options open..

this is something im doing some research on now but wont be doing if or untill the au engine dies lol......

thats fair mate.

My tuner suggested I do a BA motor over another AU one purely on the extra power increase also. Although he suggested an xr6t motor. From what I know of though, there is still the issue of wiring looms etc to organize.

The physical size of the engine is the easy part. Wiring it all together and making it work is another thing. But yeah using either an EMS or capa flash tune is the only way it will work is what I have heard.

I think you're better off running everything you can off the BA as you say, PS pump and a/c unit just to avoid hassles. Unless you know for sure the PS pump and a/c are exactly the same as the au motor and can fit with ease.

This is something I have often thought of also. I estimate the cost as follows and by no means is this concrete at any stage:

1. BA motor from wrecker - $750
2. BA wiring loom and cpu - $250
3. Fitting of motor and wiring of new loom - $1500+
4. Tuning - $400
5. New intake pipes - $400

Total around $3300+
This doesnt include a BA transmission if its required or not, I dont know. So you could add another $750+ for a 4 speed BA tranny if the motor doesnt match up with the AU trans. (estimated power unintercooled between 220-250rwkw?)

I was also offered a low km xr6 turbo motor and trans to be fitted in my AU all done and tuned for $6500. (estimated power of 250rwkw, but room for so much more)

As you can see I have a lot going on in my head, but I thought Id voice my thoughts on the possibilities should you ever have to make that decision.
