He only bought a Gear Knob, not a complete shifter.

The billet shifter that he got from the states is the actual shifter mechanism.

yes that would be correct..

yes i know the knob was as much as the shift..
but the reason i got the shift from usa was because to buy a billet one locally was around $450..

but thats the same as i brought a supercharger kit thats nearly 3 times the value of the car.. or 5 times the price i paid for the car...  ..car modding is  ,,,
plus its xmas it gives me an excuse to spend more money to do more mods..lol..
lets see ?? whats next??? ummm hmmmm i think some hd sway bars are in order..

Total around $3300+
This doesnt include a BA transmission if its required or not, I dont know. So you could add another $750+ for a 4 speed BA tranny if the motor doesnt match up with the AU trans. (estimated power unintercooled between 220-250rwkw?)
.

You can pick up a standard BA motor from adelaide ford wreckers for $300

well after driving the car with the hd sway bars (thanks benj) there is a noticable difference in the stability of the car, cornering is even more fun... especially sidways..the car already handled good but there was still a bit of body roll..
so now there is also no more wishy washy/body dive type feeling when you get it sideways..lol
(if thats any sence)..

I know what you mean Troy. I have whiteline hd sways front and rear on my car and noticed that going into corners at speed, you can pull out of corners real quick and stable without the inside rear wheel wanting to break traction.
