What ever it is, get da22le to weld 2 short 90 degree angle pipes to them pointing straight down, then what ever you do from there will be hidden. Im not sure if there is even enough clearance for this? the bov are alloy and the pipe i have is steel.. but i can use 90 deg silicon bends instead and unfortunatly there is bugger all room on that side of the engine bay.. Bugger; Im sure you will sort it out mate. |

watched ya video bud, thats a sweet setup you got there and it sounds wicked. just about no having them plumbed back, did you experience a splutter when backing off when the BOV went off? my mates old vl he turbo'd wasnt plumb back and it would splutter when the bov went off and we put it on a scope and it was richening out heaps when backing off. this was an air flow meter setup so i guessing this kind of issue doesnt happen with MAP style setups?
also would it be worth getting 2 small inlets welded on the back side of the intake pipe to the raptor to run the piping from the BOVs? my 2 cents

with a AFM setup all you need to do is plumb the BOV's AFTER the AFM otherwise it will go rich as the computer things there is more air then there is

one step closer..
i have decided to plumb the bov's they way they are supposed to..found a way to run them both to the blower intake.. i just need 2 short pieces of 32mm alloy pipe and get them welded to the blower intake.. this is how it will go.. the pipe from the inner bov will run forward and under the intake pipe from the blower to the intake pipe to the blower... and the outer bov will go straight into the blower intake near where the original bov ran... That looks like it should work well. Are you not worried about the recycled air anymore?

no not yet... there are other things that need attention (money spent on)(rear brakes, rear shocks) before i can justify the price of the w2a intercooling..
all this extra stuff with the blowoff valves are reliability measures.. |

today i started on converting the ed rear brakes over to ef/el...
i picked up!! well i got delivered a complete ef diff for a measly $100... i had a huge fight with the axles trying to removing them, (as std removal procediure had failed..) once i got the axles out,i removed the brakes, gave them a clean ,straightened up the backing plates where i had smashed them with a pole driver in anger. (that got the axles out) gave them a coat of paint.. now i just got to get another set of rotors as smashing them with a pole driver isnt a good thing!!!.. then fit them to the ed diff.. although the only thing im not sure on is? if the rear abs sensors bolt up the same from ed to ef?? anyway here are a few pics.. before... Attachment: DSC01707.JPG after straightening and paint.. Attachment: DSC01708.JPG i was a little suprised how small the ef rear brakes are compared to the ed.. Attachment: DSC01709.JPG

i believe he is adapting the EF/EL calipers to his diff, he mentioned he had the calipers reconditioned when they were on his old EA...
mine both still run factory brakes so they shouldnt need rebuilding yet... |
