soo. i now have a handbrake again.. woo hoo!!
today i made up a couple of brackets to mount the hand brake cable outer to the diff..

i then positioned the brackets so that the cable is still able to move and flex with suspension movement, and a weld here a weld there...

a quick bit of paint, a trial fit of the cable.. 8-)

after i welded the brackets, fitted the cable, i then needed to work out how to fill the gap from the ed cable end to the ef handbrake arm..
with a bit of fiddling and a little more welding. i butcherized the ed caliper arm and made a fill in piece..
Attachment:

fitted it up and...

while i was at it,, as ef dont have a bracket on the backing plate for a brake line i also fitted the brake line bracket fron the ed backing plate..

and after all that, the hand brake seems to be working good, and considering the rear adjusters are wound all the way in.. in very happy with the results..
