I take it because they are utes & van's there isn't that many S pack clusters, most would have been GLI/Taxi spec yeah? I might have to keep my eyes peeled for a XG S pack cluster myself now. Cheers ToranaGuy Hi, so only the xg utes/vans had em huh? buggarr ...... as i have 2 spares with the ea sedans [one in the eb wagon] |

a bit of an update..
after having a few small issues with my starter motor the last few weeks, not wanting to start sometimes.. i purchased a bf starter motor to replace the old ea one i was using, and i must say, the bf starter is tiny compared to the old xf/ea reduction starter that i was using.. the starter is nice and quiet and cranks the engine super fast compared to the old one.. on the mod side of things i got sick of the calibre red, temp, boost and afr gauges, so i went out and got a pair of auto guage bright white smoked face gauges, and as the old gauges were mounted in the console and i couldnt really see them when in 1st or 5th gear, i decided to mount the new boost and afr gauges on the top of the passenger dash pad.. and before anyone says ohh why screw into your dash pad?? all i can say is its only a bloody box car, who cares, its not like there rare or anything.. here is a few pics... How's the view of the gauges from the drivers seat? Is it good enough?
Cheers ToranaGuy

Ever thought of modifying were the cd player goes, just to have it more integrated.

yes i had a few ideas but nothing i could really be 100% happy with..
something i would really really like to do is set up a carputer for the purpose of it having a serial port for the ems ecu, this way i can have rpm,air temp, afr, water temp, boost, volts and tps all live direct from the ecu all on one screen with the options of changing ecu settings at any time without plugging the lap top in,, this will also delete the need for any extra gauges... |
