Disagree GreenEmissions... I have no timing mark due to it being completely ripped off (see the Aliens with a grudge at http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... s%20grudge )

With those silly mechanical systems you guys like (namely dizzy's) I'd suggest having a timing mark is almost compulsory - at least it should be.

As changing the timing with the EF Electronic distributor less Ignition System is currently way beyond my field of operations I've not bothered with replacing it.

1) Time is useful - it allows you to do stuff.
2) You can never do too much stuff.

hi again.
due to a over heating scare on the way to fordmods x mas party.
i was driving along and i did the normal glance at the cluster and the temp guage was off the scale and coolant temp light was on..my first thoughts were ohh s**t..
after doing a few checks i came to the conclusion it was a faulty temp sender and continued on..
afterwards i went and purchased a new sender only to find that i still have a intermittent problem that comes and goes..
so i must have a short somewhere??
so i will have to run a fresh wire from the sender to the cluster..
so as extra peace of mind i went out and brought a couple of guages from super cheap..
i got a water temp guage and just so the temp guage didnt look out of place by it self i also got a air fuel guage..
the best part was there was a perfect spot in the thermostat housing for the sender.(where the sensor is on models with climate controle)..

so now im thinking of changing my cluster back to the original black background so it matches the guages..

I like the look of those guages. Let me know if you change your white dials over troy and want to sell them. Very interested!

Nice work Troyman.

MMMMM those guages look tasty. I will have to see how to mount some in the EL interior.

after alot of stuffing around i think the temp gauge problem might have been in the cluster..
i swapped it over to the original ea one and the factory gauge seems to be working ok now...

here is a pic of the gauges with the factory black cluster in...(its a bit blurry)..

i havnt made a desision yet on weather to keep the cluster black or white??
