digital clusters suck, they dont show volts or oil pressure. the only thing good about them is the door open screen. thats about it

there is an idea that me and benj were talking about on the xmas party. we were talking about removing the section with the body/doors on the left of the digital cluster and fitting the 2 small gauges from the sport cluster or fiting small after market gauges..

that would be the only way i would use a digital cluster.
as they do look like crap std..i dont know what ford were thinking when they designed that cluster?
they could have atleast made the tacho digital aswell.

or even if they had made a digital version of the sport cluster would also been good

and she would be right!!!!

Yeahp, I get in a sook just by people putting bags with zips and metal objects (like keys) against my centre console.

By "people putting" I actually mean "missus slamming".

And then people decide to put their feet on the dash. WTF?

By "people decide" I actually mean "missus not thinking".

ok well the rear lights keep white, but the top 4 that light up the front do them red so you have a red tinge on the front

Just noticed this... that is exactly what I am doing with my digital cluster.. I've already removed the door open display and it's shroud and striped a boost gauge down to just the needle and mech.... when the oil pressure gauge shows up.. I'll do the same to it.. Then mount both where the door open display was and make a new facia that has the gauge markings on it for the two new gauges..
The end result should look factory.. (except for my carbon fibre look-alike facia) I was also planning on putting the word "PRESSURE" between the gauges and then AIR and OIL under each gauge.. that way it won't have the word BOOST and therefore coppers that are not tech proficient might not think to look to closely under the bonnet.

f**k i must be weird.... I love the digital clusters i converted my last to fairmonts to digital because i HATE the Mid spec cluster with the HUGE speedo and tacho... I like the analog tacho and digital speedo rekon it works well.... I was thinking a similar thing for the doors though remove that and fit gauges...But would like to keep the same style as the fuel and temp gauges....But im not worried about not having volts or oil... Theres an oil light and battery light
