Fair enough Joshie, cannot argue with you there (however hard I try...)
The stuff is sold as a "stained glass lookalike" and has survived the direct sun and weather well after initially looking as tho it would die. It is almost so thin you cannot paint with it on a upright glass surface without runs and you can scratch at it all you like without taking all the colour out. I would suggest it is using a dye of sorts combined with some other stuff to make application simple. My test piece is miles and miles away now, but sitting out in direct sun all day every day would probably be pretty bloody similar to whatever heat you could get from a 10w T10 bulb......?? |

ive got something planned??? Sorry troy i was under the impression the problem in the pic was the water leak stain on your block lol. So not that bad then, scratched paint on the extractors is much easyer to fix Cheers Josh |

FROM THE "DON'T MIND ME" FILES OF FIEND....
How hot does this thing get dude? You can actually get very similar results by putting a synthetic two stroke oil into your radiator bottle by mistake. Don't do this on purpose. Only do it by mistake. The mistake usually involves people putting green synthetic two stroke oil into the nearest container, which is usually a four litre container of green radiator coolant... The oil will heat up and find it's way out of seals, clamps and seams that didn't leak before with only water and anti-freeze in the mix. I would suggest a mix of about 1:30 would produce this effect. Can be cured by just leaving it in the system until it all finds its own way out, or, preferably, flushing the lot a few times with a decent Nulon radiator flush (or similar). (APPROPRIATE DISCLAIMERS etc etc etc) Sad for you, but by the sounds of you having a plan, I'd suggest it's just more motivation for Troydude to do some a*** kicking in the engine bay. |

well it involes removing the head for a start..lol a complete head and cam replacement hoping to gain an extra 20-30+ rwkw. the problem i had today was finding a second hand ef head from the wreckers that wasnt f**k with corosion.. the first head was s**t. i reterned it and the 2nd one was just as bad. so the guys at this wreckers were nice enough to pull a head of a complete running engine and this one is just ok... obviously being more than 10 yeas old now most of the ef engine/heads have been running water instead of coolant which leaves most of the 2nd hand heads as good as scrap metal.. |
