Hey Troyman.

I am pleased you were able to find a suitable donor head.

I will have no chance of keeping up now!! LOL

Huh? Why would people run water with no coolant in it? Ah well, is better than running water with two stroke oil in it ;)

Why am I looking at this thread of yours when I should be finding out how to put a cam in? Silly me and my getting sidetracked again.

The white Mont EF Wagon I have had a bit shaved off the head and it went pretty well even with standard cam etc etc etc. I'm trying to get an answer out of Chris @ Wade.Cams about a price on a 1673 to NZ. Seems a little prohibitive spending heaps of money to send him my good EF cam as part of the swap program. Must be too hot over there, have not heard back for days...

(Besides which, I cannot afford it right this very minute, but will be going that way once the manual box is in for sure...) Would be nice to get a head and have something milled off it too. Good thinking - I'll be over at the donor Mont Sedan first thing taking the head off for future use........

yea mate i found a good one in the end..

i was keen on your ticky head! but whats getting done to this head kind of supercedes the need for a tickford head anyway..(i just like the wings)

and i cant beleive how hard it was to find a decent head.
i was very close to removing the au head from my ea and using it..
but i want to keep the au engine complete untill i decide what to do with it..(keep it? or sell it?)

the work getting done to the head kind of blows my budget build out of the water but i thought ill take advantage of the situation while the head is off.. :)..
and performance always cost$$$$$.

ive got something planned??? :o

Sorry troy i was under the impression the problem in the pic was the water leak stain on your block lol.

So not that bad then, scratched paint on the extractors is much easyer to fix

Cheers

Josh

its the leaking head gasket!

Yeah thort so, major bummer aye. Nice work sourcing a head.

Will be interested in what cam you choose and how it all turns out.

well its been a while since i last updated ..

the new port and polished head is done.. just waiting for it to be fitted back on the engine..
so it should be back on the road tomorrow.. :) ..

after seeing some of the work that paulc has done on his ef/xbgt bonnets and benj's eb/xbgt bonnet..
ive asked paulc to take on my bonnet bulge project and he was nice enough to take it on...

i started the bulge project when i had the gold ea but i wasnt happy with the results. :(
so i removed it from my spare ea bonnet and now is being grafted into a eb bonnet that i got from benj

ill get some pics soon.... :)
