yea you get that sometimes..

the car has no more pull with the new head and unfortunatly since the new head it has started blowing blue smoke.. :?
what a waist of f**k money that was.
i only give my cars one chance .
with the ea when the engine died the 2nd time that was it..

now after the ed blew the head gasket and now the smoke is starting to come thats it lol....
it still runs great and probably can be driven for a fair while before anything stuffs up.
im just not interested in changing bottom ends ect..
so if it doesnt find a home ill wreck it out....

i dont think so..
1 g + for the head. then ???? bottom end and at the end of the day its still not going to be worth any more...
so ill see if there is any interest in it..
if not ill probably get more for it in parts..

i know you guys dont want me to turn into a b series poof. but ive got to update sooner or later..
but this time the mods will be kept to a minimum..

1-4k's is cheaper then 10-20k's for a new car. and look better then thoses b-series sh*t.

i will never upgrade as long as mine is fixable. there is way to much you can do to a e-series then a b-series.

another b-series poof eh?? haha, i cant complain, i sometimes contemplate getting a vz/e 6ltr ute.

If its a ba monty, going to get the 5.4 sohc?? Still, the idea of a dumped, loud and lumpy 5ltr LTD sounds nice

If the ed doesnt sell, thought of just using it as a track hack?

agreed... after the e series.. they either got ugly (see AU) or heavy (everything after AU)

The E series was the last of the smaller lighter bodied cars that still looked great. I plan on finishing my EL and keeping it for the next decade at least.

I actually like the AU XR front ends. The UTE's look strong as in the XR6 or 8 livery. Is the curve of the front windscreen the same from EA - AU? If so, I suggest putting the AU XR front end on your tired old box cars everybody... Keep the box cars a** ends tho, of course....

Am keeping my EF until it just doesn't go anymore. And that, given the ready supply of spare parts, is a long way off.

The B series is already the new E series and the E series is now the X series if you look at NZ roads. There are a few nice E's here, for sure - but in general they are unclean, uncared, unloved things that produce more noise and emissions than they possibly should. Luckily NZ is full of farmers and country folk and they all have tidy, if standard, E series for towing the horse float and a B series for going to town in the weekends. All the townies have B's or newer but all the modders seem to be Japa imports or old school Aus / Yank. Occasionally you see a real modded up E series and it's usually being admired by all comers. Odd why more people aren't putting a little money into their old E series. On one of the NZ Forums there's a whole bunch of people buying F turbos and the like whilst lamenting the fact they ever sold their EF's! I say spend all the money you're spending on that new F on purchasing and doing up an old EF. Imagine the EF with the turbo F motor and the F supercar upgrade front brakes... Now that would be a crowd pleaser.

Hey - Troy, can you have a quick look at http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo14 ... er_YAY.jpg and tell me what you think?!!!

And I know you have a T5 running from an AUTO EL ECU? Just how well does the resistor trick work for you? I'm having trouble with finding a real EF Manual computer so will most likely do the resistor thing once my new clutch cable gets here and it starts installing itself. Have heard people complaining their cars go into limp mode and have serious issues with stalling under engine compression braking etc etc? Guess I'll just start putting some cash aside for the programmable chip with a 4TAx dump on it and try fooling the computer with resistors in the meantime.

fiend, look into the J3 reprogramable chips, you can put JMM and CAPA tunes on them if you can find them, or a custom tune, or a manual tickford tune. basically anything you like

Mate - I've been looking into that for six months. You wouldn't believe how many times my mouse finger has hovered over the BUY NOW VISA sign on their internet site.
