why?? mine still has aircon...
I live in NZ and therefore

A) Hardly ever need aircon
B) Can rig up an EL poverty pack (read "no air con") wheel and keep the same serpentine etc etc.

I'll go back to searching the auction sites for cheap blowers...................

Do you think the VCT head will not handle the boost Troy?

Hey Mate,

Nice set-up, for sure. I would go for the walbro, or bosch pump similar to mine.( http://www.injectorsonline.com/indivprod.php?cid=76 )(the 910)

The 040 is a big pump, and might be a bit over-kill, unless you gonna go further, then it might be worthwhile.

I'll drive your car, and you can drive mine when it's going....hehehehe

Cheers

:D Daz 8-)

im more than confident that the vct head will be ok with boost..
it just that i spent $800 on the ported ef head so im not going to let it go to waste..

Troyman,

as this thread is 33 pages i've skimmed roughly... Can you please give us some details on where that short throw shifter came from off the net? sounds cheap... does it work ok?

Also your SC, is it CAPA or Raptor? Quick question regarding it, do they need any oil feed lines of any sort? Or just strap a belt to it and hook up some big intake pipes?

All in all... congrats on one hell of a car... the day you sell that bonnet let me know... i love it... i'm doing some small mods to mine currently... aiming at some of the things you've done... However you've got so much time and money  anyway keep the ideas and mods coming...

Cheers,
Tim

i got the shift from here..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/83-03-MU ... 0337610921

the kit is a raptor kit.
there are no oil lines the supercharger is air cooled..
its a fairly easy kit to install i have a few issues with the piping because the auvct rocker cover is slightly taller than the ef one ..but otherwise pretty much a bolt on job...

ok..
well today i managed to get an adjustable rising rate reg and a walbro 255ltr hr fuel pump..
so far ive managed to fit the fuel reg,gap the plugs to .8mm and ive retarded the timing..
at the moment the base ignition timing on the el ecu is set to 2 atdc..

unfortunatly ive had to remove 3/4 of the pollished pipework as the piping is to suit el..
the problem is the au vct rocker cover is taller and the pipe hits the accelerator cable bracket, the rocker cover, the bbm and im still having to force the bonnet shut..
so im using the plastic au piping and so far so good except the factory flex hose expands under boost..
so i might be loosing a little boost??

anyway after all that i took it for a spin and it goes much better...
it doesnt seem to be pinging the max ive reved it to so far is about 3800..
it has reaches about 6 psi before the afr gauge hits full lean.
and just as it hits over 5psi is when the party really starts!!!
so just as your head is about to snap off from the g forces  i got to back off due to the leaning out and the flex hose expanding.
so im currently limited to how much i can give it..
hopefully the ba xr 29 lb injectors arrive tomorrow and ill adjust the reg up a bit aswell as get a proper 90 deg silicon bend and ill take it out again..

here is a vid clip...
have a look at the flex hose lol...

Not that it will be suitable for your build but the VCT reg is 3.5 bar or 350KPA is it not?
