Hey Mate,

I'll reserve judgement in person on the note, and volume, on Friday. You could probly expect about 5-7 kw, from the slightly bigger exhaust....well that is what the Mav' got, and it wasn't even tuned properly.....

Cheers

so far i would say its worth it. :D
some people said it would loose bottom end torque! naaaaa.bull s**t!!
it has more throttle responce with the 3", feels like there is more mid range torque,it has a deeper note and sounds very angry when its revs under boost :D .
i havnt been able to really open it up as it started raining tonight but i gave it a few bursts before it rained and so far im happy..

the down side is there is a little bit of resination cruising around 70-80kmh/under 2000rpm when there is load on the engine but its pretty good at 100-110kmh.

I have to say it sounded really good to me on the cruise down to Wollongong last night. Nice deep note that sounded even better when the loud pedal was pressed.

Thats awesome mate. Hmm this might be worth me looking into. Ive noticed with mine that my throttle response has been lacking from the get go much like yours was.

The resination I might look into just adding another small muffler.

Can I ask you how much the exhaust & cat set you back, and did you end up getting the 4480's with a 3" collector or did you buy the 2.5" collector and modify it?

Not to speak on behalf of Troy, but I believe it would be good to retune it and redyno it to see where the main improvements were

Hey Troy i'v bot my VCT motor up and running in my EB now and I have just a quik question about when you hooked the VCT up the BBM signal......How did you do it? did you just run the Red wire to the BBM signal and the White/Green one to earth?
Also my oil prssure goes from the starting end if the Dial to the Other as soon as i start the car?

Are you using the Correct EB Oil Pressure Sender? It should look like a large Mushroom.

Thats not a bad price at all Troy. I was quoted $700 just for the cat back. You should sell off your old system to someone to recoupe some cash.

yes it going to need to be re tuned as the manifold vac has changed now that i ive changed the exhaust..
at idle the vac was 20in hg at idle with the 2 1/2. now with the 3" its at 18in hg at idle.
and when i plug the laptop into the ecu its now idling in the next line on the tune map table..
so for now ill just create another tune line in between the tune lines that were there..

to hook it up to the bbm trigger.
the red wire from the vct solinoid goes to ignition 12v.or red wire on bbm..
the white green from the vct solinoid goes to the green wire on the bbm wiring(this is the earth trigger)
its probably best if you run a relay between the bbm trigger and the vct solinoid so it doesnt put to much load on the ecu..
as for the oil pressure did you use the eb one??
either its the wrong sender or the wire isnt connected as this will put the gauge on full..
