Well if you do go single system i'd reccomend staying with 2.5" wit one muffler. A mate of mine had that on his EL XR8 manual with Pacies and hi-flow cats and it sounded great, was nice and torquey too with no drone at cruise RPM. Yeah my car sounds unreal, and no drone at crusing, mate of mine with EF XR8 sounds good but has a loud drone that would piss me off. I need to get a sound clip on here

very neat mate well done.. just for the record ive got twin 2.5s under mine, and mine is pretty low also.. twin 2.5's are probably a lil big for a stockish 5.0 tho.. -mitch

I may even leave the exhuast for now and do something else.

My 5.0L lane has a custom twin 2 1/4 inch system. I was aggonising over the same decision, but decided on the twin in the end. You just have to find a good exhaust shop that's willing to have a go. When I told the guy what I wanted, he just smirked at me, but when it was finished even he was surprised with how good it sounded.
But mine's a little different Check out my build thread for sound file of the new zorst and some pics of how it all fits. Cheers, Mick PS, sweet ride BTW, love the big red fords.......they go faster ...lol

Thanks for the comments guys. This car was pretty ordinary when i got it and i have put a lot of time and money in to it to get to where it is today. I have decided to go with twin.
NCIILANE what did you pay for yours?

Yeah that's not bad including tips. Now my mission is to find an exhuast joint who will tackle the task and do a half decent job of it

It's been a while but thought it's time for an update, im sure i won't remember everything I have done to it since last post but it will try my hardest. I think the first things was the NL Fairlane light, and the Carperted Kick panels. Next was the Kicker splits up front and kicker co-axial up back which are both powerd off a kenwood 4 channel amp and 4 gauge amp wiring kit. Next i wired the turning lights to a switch and to the dash so the foggie light appears when i have them switched on. I then lowerd the front and back some more, and replaced the chrome strip with new items. Also got hold of leather interior (seats, door trims, handbrake etc) but removed the wood grain(im sure i will get falmmed for that but I personally dont like woodgrain on post 70's aussie cars) I also experimented with a Powerchip but it ended up having a different catch code so its up for grabs. Im still yet to find somwhere to get the exhaust done however thanks to My347 i may of found just the place. I'm sure I would of forgotten some things but if i remember them i will post them up, cheers
