so another small update on the ol girl, I had the Air conditioner pipes made up and gassed, works perfectly! nice and cool now , didn't take any pic's as it was a bit of a rush job to get it all done, I needed to take it over to Adelaide for work, next time I have the bar and cooler out i'll take some happy snaps of the pipework.

Nah nothing as yet, most of my attention has been directed at my daily driver, but now that that is almost finished i'll be paying a bit more attention to this.
The next step I want to take with this is getting it painted, (same color) I have had a few quotes done, now I just need to get the funds together to make it happen.
I'm also planning on purchasing an atomic Phase 2 698kw rebuild kit and putting it into an AU engine for it, so more coin that needs to be saved up, as that is currently priced at just under $4k.
So the ol girl is waiting patiently in the shed for now.

It's been a while since my last update.. time for one now.

This past weekend, I picked up a new engine for my car.

Very happy with my purchase.

{DESCRIPTION}

The specs of the engine are as follows:

Custom Sure Cam,
Atomic Head Studs,
Atomic Anti Pump Up Lifters,
Ported Head,
Over Sized Valves,
Double Race Springs,
Roll Master Timing Chain and Adjustable Cam Gear,
1.3mm MLSR Head Gasket,
Forged Pistons,
Spool H Beam Rods,
Balanced Forged Crank,
ARP Main Studs and Rod Bolts
Powerbond Harmonic Balancer
Atomic Main Cap Girdle
High Energy sump (modified for girdle clearance)

I think that's it, but may have forgotten some stuff though.

I was told it would handle 500rwkw. :P

A new rocker cover to go with the new engine, I purchased this some time ago as a spare, so i though it would be a good idea to utilize it while I had it there (just saves removing the other one). We had some stuff going in to the powder coaters with work so I sent this in along with the other stuff.

My idea was to make it look factory again.

So I started work on the rocker cover today, I got it filed down and sanded, just need to trim off some of the reinforcements that foul on the tops of the head studs..

A pic of it, as it was before I started.

The finished product, came up good I think. :P

Looks neat mate! Noice...

Do u have some pics of the sump mod?

Is it just the angle of the photo, your power steer pump looks like it isn't there but the pulley is or have you got a custom setup??

Wow fresh black paint looks awesome!!

Did you stick to the original black pearl or has it been tweaked a bit?

Looks great mate, top job!

Lowlane7, I can get a better pic of the sump for you, the power steering pump is just the standard one without a reservoir on it, the feller that I got the motor off was going to set up a external reservoir.

Lukeee, it's the original color Black Pearl, nothing else added, but does look like it has a slight purple pearl in it not sure if that standard or not.

some more eye candy..

a small update on this beast, I fitted a shift light (it's kinda crap, I think I will take it out again lol) and the cluster, I fitted XG S pack dial faces, looks a lot fresher/cleaner than the orangey ones IMO.
