i had a look at 3 cars today i have 2 im pretty keen on.

car number 1, is for sale or swap, 1996 XG ute, bench seat, collumn auto, 220ish on the clock, 17 inch au tickford alloys, few things im not keen on....the gas freezes up on cold mornings, the door locks dont work, the heater doesnt work, front bumpers in primer, he asked for cash ontop of my TX5 (my cars in better nick) i said no then he offerd a straight swap i think ill pass as it also has victorian rego so when the time comes to re rego it will have to have a roady.

car number 2, is a 1994 XG ute, t bar auto, white, very straight, mags, going over tomorrow to have a look...its at the car yard across from my house.

car number 3, EB falcon SPAC factory 5sp, rebuilt T5, alloys, very straight, good interior, has a stuffed clutch (i have the clutch out of my old ef in the shed) and a rough idle and chuggy upto 2,000rpm wich it could need a service its been sitting for 6 months and only has 2 weeks rego left....$1,000

car number 1 is a NO......its between car 2 and 3 at the moment if the TX5 sells if not ill see what happens. :P

today i went over the road and test drove the XG ute its a 1994 it does have high k's wich at first put me off but the engine bay is nearly spotless  and it drives great and the motor doesnt feel like it has 396,000k's on it....he made me a offer i cant really say no to, the ute is $2,850 he'll trade my TX5 and $350 cash i think we have a done deal i have to let him know in the morning but im pretty sure ill be taking it :D also the ute is very straight and the interior is nice and tidy.

2 things to be fixed if i want to, the standard exhaust has been dumped at the diff (actually doesnt sound to bad), and previous owner put a tacho down in the console.

Sounds pretty good, I love the XF/XG looks.

What mags does it have on it?

EDIT
Oh, and luckily you don't have to worry about that car yard abusing the ute by opening the throttle up in neutral, the XG will have a rev limiter
