I'm expecting the engine to arrive in Sydney in the next week or two. Things didn't work out with the supercharger from B&H (story to follow later). Now looking for other options to fill these massive heads with air.

Any ideas??

Turbo it! Streetbuilt style!!!

The build thread is over on the 'other' Ford site, this is the smaller R&D build...
http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11361872

Jeff may get a chance to transplant it here. With a built engine (such as yours) and a bigger turbo anything the high side of 750-800rwhp is feasible.

Interested to hear the washup with the B&H supercharger kit when you get the chance.

Yeah that would be my suggestion, I would talk to CMS First and see if they are prepared to help, otherwise off to Streetbuilt. Nice pair of turbos will do a good job.

Looks good.. I'm just worried about the lag on these big heads though. This is more of a daily driver than a drag or dyno build.

I wouldn't be concerned with using a 205cc on a 363ci... I don't believe that 'lag' would be a problem with the correct sized exhaust housing. The next installment of XH5LWEPN's XH will be a similar combo to yours, 363, AFR 205s but now a blow through carb & turbo rather than the KB blower.

Yeah, last I saw he had the KB on there (I've been AWOL for a while). What happened to the KB?

Otherwise, to stick with a PD type supercharger is going to mean a LOT of custom fabrication (intake, blower snout & drive, pullies, brackets etc...)

A Whipple or TVS2300 would be great to see, but an expensive exercise to fabricate from scratch.

Several different plans & combos were thrown about, but the KB ended up selling to a friend of his, likewise the original AFR headed 5.0 which is now in another XH ute over here. The KB is going onto an EL with a TFS headed 347.

It sure is. Syd and Vic seem to be all taken up in the XR Turbo scene right now and have been for a while.

Yeh, I didn't think about Windsor turbo manifolds from the US.. I wonder how much clearance we have in the Falcon engine bay compared to the stangs. I'll have a bit of a dig around and see what'ts out there - basically looking for a US/V8 version of Snort !

I started off looking at KB... unfortunately they haven't upgraded the GT40/Explorer based blower or kit to be in line with their newer modular kits - so no intercooling, reasonably old school and inefficient head unit and also possibly a bit on the small side for the 363 - which was the whole reason I tilted towards spending twice the cash for a B&H TVS2300 based kit.

I can buy a TVS2300 from Harrop which will line up, throw it onto a carby manifold (with modifications) and blow in lots of hot air - but I'd really prefer do this properly and intercool it.

I must say the Streetbuilt Single turbo set is seriously appealing. It's neat and ticks all the boxes, except having full boost at idle, but I dare say my chances of going PD are well out the window.

The 363 Dart arrived at Sydney airport late last week, took a couple of days to get the customs paperwork sorted, but all good. If I had an ecoboost engine I could've just brought it across from the US myself :D

Anyway, delivery to Crescent Motorsport was successful, photos to come.
