didn't use the EB all day today because i used the girlfriends car on a permit to get the 2nd test on the roady.

got home about 6:30 and went to go to the shop. in limp home mode again. starting to s**t me right off. it's my main car at the moment.

any ideas?

have you checked the hose to the map?, a mate had this problem on his xh ute, he changed the dizzy and everything then his uncle looked at it and pointed out the hose, worked like a charm after.

in my understanding if the hose was shagged it'd run like s**t. it runs fine

god damn!

was in LHM all the way to work. did another DTC check. code 42 again. ordered a new O2 sensor. fitted it. ran better on petrol, code 42 gone but still in LHM. had a good look and one of the wires for the electronic shift kit had come off. soldered it back on. all good!

yep. true that. just need to buy a water pump, rocker cover gasket, front seal and get the old harmonic balancer off. which will be fun

The old balancer will be a prick if it's never been off, even with the removal tool. Good luck dude, balancers are one of the jobs i hate to do.

You got the gas hooked up on the Xr engine yet, or just petrol? Did you end up putting your hot cam in the Xr head? It would go better due to the slightly better ports & valve sizes in the Xr head....

I bet it's music to your ears not hearing death rattles/clunks. Post up some pics of the dead bearing & crank journal!
