I dont think you could do much more, definatly get a 3:45 LSD. But I think youve covered the basic mods, once u get into headwork etc it gets a bit serious,

I'm keeping my xr as is until I've got my full licence then I'll put on my turbo kit

LSD, RWD & a fair bit of power = lots of fun & hard work in the wet lol.

I hate driving RWD car's without LSD these days. They just don't feel the same.

Can't wait to see what time you run, will you have the LPG hooked up or off for the run?

Cheers

ToranaGuy

lol, that's what the manuals tend to do more than auto falcons. Time for gas injection man!

Do you have a replacement airbox?

Cheers

i took the lsd out of my ghia after it died.. got no intentions of slapping one back in as they can make getting out of some situations worse. eg the eb would get bogged easily but the xf when it used to be a single used to get away with not

i found it the other way.. my autos carried on and backfired etc.. as a manual the only backfire ive had in the eb a few months ago was me trying to limp it to the servo on sweet f all lpg
but i do keep up the maintainance on it on a regular interval. and i get it retuned on a dyno so i havent had issues at all though

sorry to highjack..

but good to see its manual now.
ive got to swap gearboxes again in mine as i killed the t5 in mine..

Isn't the point of an LSD to help in those kind of situations?

Yeah, I think there must've been something wrong with the LSD in the ghia then. By design, an LSD is more useful where your vehicle is bogged!!!

When bogged useful(how often that happen), in the wet its fun to say the least. Alot of caution is needed when cornering on greasy roads or else you will be facing oncoming traffic

i thought so too.
wasnt anything wrong with it. locked like a lsd should. but i hated it in the wet as it wanted to be a spool. so i was glad when it died..

found letting the tyres down to get out more useful. had aircompressor in the garage so i was fine.

uniacidz. used to happen a bit as i had to park on the grass next to the shed off the driveway at my parents..

Im only running a single pegger. I don't mind driving it but it would be a heap more fun having some slideways capabilities.
