well today turned to be a s**t one i got ripped off and im pretty p****d off that ea was more then bad plugs and timing out its stripped the shaft that drives the distributor  i rang him and he didnt give a s**t his words were oh its worth fixing its a cheap car dad said make him take it back he wont and ill loose my deposit im going to see if he will lower the price abit and i think ive come up with 2 plans.

1. buy a motor and put it in.
2. pull the motor out of the ute then drop a au motor into the xg.

He should do, btw is it in your name yet?

You could always contact fair trading for advice, it would be worth it if it means you get to hang onto a couple of hundred dollars..

Yeah it looks like a keeper. Even if you do end up paying the full $600 plus engine, if you have it for a few years it's still a cheap daily car.

plans for the ute wont happen straight away but they will. going to see about a twin exhaust so it has duel exhaust out the back, small sound system, extractors and possibly a mild cam to wake it up a little.

Sucks, but at least they're doing something about it I guess.

BTW, if you're still going to get an AU console for your XG there's that chrome and woodgrain shifter surround on ebay still, I've been outbid at $15. There's still 4 days to go.

I won the other one with ripped chrome haha..
