Hi all, haven't posted on here for a while, since my fake XR build. I still have that car and still adding to it. But bought a xh v8 ute about 6 months ago. Paid $1800 for it. Was a little rough but basically a good solid ute.

It was a bit of a b&s ute, with stone flectors, bull bar and the typical rm williams sticker on it.

I've replaced the rear end shocks, bushes and brakes. Added lowered suspension, My EL XR front end, 17" BA copies, fitted EL door handles, new dash, clear tail lights, stereo system. Also have done a heap of other stuff, but will add as this build continues.

I don't have pics from when I first got it, but the first pic is how it was minus stone flectors and the bull bar.

Have lowered it since then and added my Ba xr copies. Then realised ultra lows were way to low. So changed them for super lows. Much better.

After that I fitted the El handles. By far the best mod EVER to an Xh ute. Also trial painted and fitted my El Xr front end.

Also I'm working at my uncles resto shop called Restored Classics in Brisbane. Mainly doing 70's cars, but a seriously cool job.

Have a look at his site, also on facebook. We do some pretty cool stuff.

I have posted a while ago that they'll be an open day, but I'm cracking the whip to make it happen. So will keep brissie people updated.

They're getting to be a rarer vehicle the XHII V8 'S' - see more XHII XR8's getting about, even then not too many.
Looks like it's lost the S decals - V8 ones still there though.

Revcore: I'm keen to sell it. I'm not at home at the moment, but I can get a few pics on the weekend for you.

Snap: yeah I haven't seen many around, so I'm definitely looking after this one. It still has the S badge on the tailgate, but yeah don't know what happened to the others. I kinda like it like that.

The ute has had a bad clunking noise in the right front since I've had it and yesterday I put in a adjustable camber kit then had it aligned. Now I've got another loose rattle sound when I drive around s**t Brisbane roads. I'm thinking ball joints. But does anyone know of the typical front end issues on these utes?

Take each front wheel off, with the car jacked up under the K frame.

Get a pinch bar or tapered end of a wheel brace, lever between the upper arm and the steering upright - be careful with upper BJ boot. You can check upper and lower BJ's. Best to do same with radius rod, lower arms etc.
