More Mail arrived today...

Polished Billet Aluminium Underdrive Pullies to suit a 94/95 Mustang. MUCH cheaper than Aussie sourced pullies.... $60 :)
Image

Only thing that needs to be done is to machine out the water pump pulley centre slightly, as the Aussie water pump had a larger diameter centre.

It's amazing how much lighter these are than stock steel pullies. They reckon you gain 8-15rwhp - I'm not too fussed as long as these do their job and allow engine to hit the redline quicker!!

Where did you source the underdrive pullies from? I've only seen steel ones for that sort of price.

More Mail…. :)

Ebaymotors…
Brand new Autometer monster tach – yes, very bogan, but I wanted a shift light, and this one came up cheap as chips – it just had a big tacho attached to it!! ;) If ever I did buy one of these (and I never thought I would), I only wanted RPM to go to 8000, I’ll never rev past this anyway!! (Well, not on purpose!!)

CNC Machined battery holder. Battery is getting relocated soon. Jump start terminals to put in too…

Covert window antenna – Seeing as all holes were welded shut on the ute, I don’t have a radio antenna anymore. This one is amplified and sits at top of windscreen. I have also bought a new 7” single din DVD unit. (Cheap a*** Xtrons one from ebay – D710G). Cheap yes – but it has lots of features (GPS navigator, Bluetooth handsfree, iPod, TV Tuner, plays media from USB drive and the Screen is Hi-Def!) – Plan is to run an old laptop (hidden in the back of ute), with Bluetooth keyboard, and screen will be the DVD unit. Remember, I’m driving 13,000kms soon! It’s time to upgrade the old alpine unit anyway, and for $300 I can’t complain too much… If it lasts this trip I’ll be happy.

MAF adaptor – 90mm – for my new MAF that hasn’t turned up yet….

In other news, my 19’s are being shipped to Perth now, so they will be on the ute very soon (as soon as I can find some tyres). Plan is to run 245/40/19’s on the rear, and lower back of ute as much as possible –hoping tyres will be well inside the guards. Front will get 235/35/19s.

My 2-piece tailshaft is being sent over this week from Mal Wood. …

Hey mate,
Great work on the ute, it's looking great. I also loved the XF, it was very unique. Just wanted to let you know I saw some pics of your beasts in a late issue of street machine. Good luck with the ute.
Thanks
