Sorry to hear about your holiday mate. :(

From all reports its a real mess up there....

I have to say though, Beautiful job with the ute! This and XH5LWPN's have to be the two coolest XH's I have ever seen. :D

Thanks for all the comments everyone :P

Good news - I'm back in Bris, about to depart for Coffs...

I decided to get up to Cairns new years eve (midnight), and drove straight back. Was tired as hell yesterday but at least I'm back. Deadset, the worst roads I've ever seen - total punishment on the ute. Copped a huge stone into my windscreen so that made me really happy as well. Will have to get that changed now before Friday... :(

Apart from that - all is good. Cost me $240 in fuel to get from Cairns to Bris (BP 98) :)

Truly awesome read ! :)

Your dedication not only to the project(s), but the EPIC journey across Australia has to be one of the biggest I'd ever imagined

On a side-note, how does the T56 line-up in the trans tunnel compared to the T5Z ?

Once again, brilliant thread! A+, will read again!

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks Steve.

The T56 is perfect. Same as factory. I was spewing that I had cut the floor to fit the T5z!!

Ro88o - Mate, not a bad head unit. The only thing that s**t me is the iPod connectivity (once you turn car off, you have to tell it to 'play' again, and choose track again). It sucks. Apart from that I cant fault it. GPS software alone makes it worth it for me. And when my lappy is hooked up HD screen works well!

Thanks everyone for the comments...

For those that saw the ute in Canberra you may have seen my s**t driving on the grass too! :P

Obviously we made it. Just got back to Perth actually... Ute loved it. Got another funny story video I'll throw up later, along with pics

Got 2 tropheys (longest distance + hard luck), and got in Supercruise, and Street Machine took photos/story off us.... :)

more to follow soon... time to relax

Now I couldn't quite believe it until I saw this video too...

You can hear engine breaking down, then runs on 7 cylinders... thought i was ganna stop completely. Had a road train up my a*** too (shoulda went behind him)

Take note of sign on left @ 47 secs

{DESCRIPTION}

Stupid me didn't check after we got through, but the carbra ripped off the front. Got 60km away and stopped to fix speedo (water pressure underneath had torn wires outta box), then realised and had to go back to get it :(

Of course it was farrked, so had to cable tie it back on. That's another story.

That vid was on the Western Highway just outside of a town names Nhill.

The road was closed as I reached the other side, so in a way we were lucky (and wern't stranded AGAIN!!
