Something i noticed doing a heap of work on my BA turbo upgrading looms anything BA the numbers started as a XX-3R23-XXXXXXXXX. anything i had that was BF started with a XX-5R29-xxxxxxx. i think the letters at the start of the looms had a meaning of weather it was for low series cars XT's or hi series fairmonts and fairlanes.

Im still abit unsure about sumthing on the eb... dose the computer only monitor the inlet air pressure and exhaust gas then caculates how much fuel to send thro the injectors? because im pritty sure i can unplug the computer and the lights, blinkers, horn, brake lights will still work. so after swaping the engines do i realy need to keep the eb computer in the car? Im trying to just run everything off the pcm il be using a xr6 instument cluster panel aswell. The onlything i can think of is i have to run the fuel relays ground to the pcm

You can take the engine loom off with out taking the manifold off, unless your changing the inlet manifold gasket anyway.

If your not to sure on the service history of the engine it may be worth doing, much harder to do it once its in the car.

ye i will take the inlet manifold off. i already have a new gasket for it. I been trying to depin these plugs and its realy hard to do. i have little screw drivers and pins to push the little latch things out the way but the pins dont want to come out the plugs. il keep trying. il put sum pics up of my wireing soon. I have only just finished un-looming everything and getting what i need, so i got heaps of spare wire and a couple of big plugs that should hold most of my wiring. If i cant de-pin them I will just solder and heat shrink.

I figured out the other day just lift the white tab out, It will only come out abit.. Then you can use a screw driver to leaver the latchs that hold the pins in |
