Yeah im kinda bummed out over it. I wish i put tape on the drill to how deep i needed to go. I was just looking at some youtube about it and most of them say what i did and just put a good blob of gasket blue on the end of the bolt and tighten it up so hopfuly it will be ok. Proper jobs the fill the hole with some weld then drill it and re-tap but i dont have a welder. Worst part about it is i only took the manifold off to look at the ports.

I also spent about 20hrs over 3days working on my rocker cover. I still need to give it some more buffing love but its pretty close to being polished up.

I just need to get some fuel hose tomorrow and ill be ready for a test start  . Im getting compression, spark, throttle response and it cranks over. I have not checked to see if the fuel injectors are working but im guessing they are. my jumper starter pack im useing for a battery needs charging so ill do a better crank over test later on and ill check the injectors then.

ahhh the work book and you guys made it easy to do man :D . I tried to start the engine today. The starter jumper pack didnt have enough juice in it to crank it over so i been running my old commodore all day to charge its battery as i dont have a battery charger so im hoping tomorrow is the day :D . Once it starts ill go back and fix the hole i made in the water jacket and work on getting my k.frame and engine mounts. also still need to make a bracket for the throttle pedal and get some heater hose to re-route it to the passengers side.

havent had much to do lately as ive needed a battery to do a test start on this engine but i finally got 1 today and did a test hit with no luck of a start :( i took the spark plugs out again and checked them for spark all is good there. Im thinking i may have hooked up my fuel line the wrong way around. I forgot which fuel line is the send and which is the return hopefuly tomorrow ill have it figured out and started.

How'd you go did she fire up for you?
If it was me it would have got the better of me last night after changing the fuel lines around and i would have had to try it then

sorry guys i was meant to jump on yesterday to get back to you guys.. All day yesterday i was trying to get her started. I got it to burp a couple of little fire ball out the manifold and caught the grass on fire, so i sent the battery flat. So i charged the battery last night and tried again today. 1st hit burped a couple of times 2nd hit a little pop and burp, 3rd hit just cranked over.. 4th hit.. Guess what.... BAAA,BAAAA<BAAAA she fires up and idles  I shut the fuel off and it died. 5min later i hit it again and it fired up. SO i thought 30min or so later 3rd time is a charm and hit it again and boom she fired up for me. so im really happy about that :D . D i just put the video i made of it into photo bucket and post it up like I do the photos?
