Ride: 04 BA Mk2 Xr6

Thought i might share with you all my new ride which i came into possesion of a few weeks ago.
It is a 2004 BA Mk2 XR6 with just over 142 000k on it. I bought it off another fordmods member, and is in fantastic condition compared to some other beaters around. It came with a full service history since new, and the 4 stock xr alloys. In which the tyres are still driveable aswell. It is a nice upgrade from my El which i had. Obviously just as a precaution, i got my mechanic to go over it incase i needed some funds to be saved, and he to said the engine is in fantastic shape with no leaks at all.
I was very happy and still am with this buy, it is absolutly fantastic. Thought i might add some better pictures to show off the beast. It doesn't show to well in the pictures, but first thing i have done was replace the original exhaust tip with a twin 3" tip.

Hey,
Well at the end of this year it is going in to get a full repay, as it is the shockwave blue colour that had the problems with it. As that's getting done it will be getting shaved. I will be adding gauges onto the centre console.will be lowering it on either lows or super lows, dependant on how the wheels fit under the guards. Will upgrade the discs to blotted. Full exhaust system, currently it has the rear box removed so im in no rush to get this cause it sounds great as is. Will be doin more engine work to it. And so on. Currently on my phone so its hard to remenber what I've got...

Cheers

Well i priced up a lukey system from work (i don't care if people say it's a bad brand 'cause i know it's good) and i can get the extractors, and cat back system for just a shade over $500. So im most likely going to be getting that done after the car get's painted. And lower it on a set if low King Springs as i already of a set of low front's that came with the car. So i priced them up at work as well and can get the rear pair for $150 . So i'm thinking of doing a few exterior things to it first as it already goes fantastic.

Cheers

Thought after i got home today i would try and de-tar the car. Being in such a s**t area it seems a lot gets stuck on. An hour and a half later and i had only done the rear bumper and left hand rear panel : /
This may take a while =(

Thought i might update you'se on what i have been up to. Currently don't have a lot of time or money on my hands. But i still had the CAI which i was going to fit to my EL still on hand. So i thought i would shove it on the XR6. Now it's not a fantastic job as all i had was a hacksaw blade and a file. So i thought i did ok with it 8-)

This is the old one, it was a Tickford AU snorkel

And this is my new Aunger CAI

And how it sits on the car

Because i didn't have the right 'tools', i took me about and hour or so. But i thought i did ok with what i had.

I thought after doing the CAI, i might as well chuck in a pod aswell.
Not for any real benefits, just to have it there. Now i didn't really know which was the best way to fit it to the airbox, so i just bought a silicone hose from work that was wider at one end than the other. It set me back a whole $30 :o

My bad about the last photo, i will get a better photo during the day when i can

Just an update too, bought myself some daytime LED driving lights today from work, thought spending $60 was better than some +$200 ones i have seen.
Shouldn't be too long before i get them on :D

Also went to my exhaust place the other day, asked about a full system.
He said he could do a full Pacemaker system, extractors, cat and so on for $1000
That a good price?

Cheers

Well today i got around to installing the LED daytime driving lights. Must say it was quiet easy. All i have to do tomorrow is to clean up the wires and it's all sweet.

They run with lights off, parkers on, and high beam. So normal town driving at night they will be off.
