6 days and many hours later, the body is stripped of the black and primer.

Still need to do doors, boot and source a new bonnet.

Will also be looking at getting a mont bar so I don't always have to ride with the phoon kit.

Should be primed in about two weeks, and painted by the end of jan.

Have taken another turn on colour choice, now I'm thinking a blue of some varietySpent the day sanding the el. Almost ready for another paint job. ...

@ zombieland... Dang! Oh well one will pop here eventually I guess

@ fordfairmont... Bordeaux is an awesome colour but I'm not sure it would suite the phoon kit

Bout time for a manual conversion. So I just bought one off a friend of a friend. Pick it up Wednesday.

Gonna hold of putting it in for a few weeks until I have a heavy duty clutch and short shifter.

I'm sure that'll get me motivated enough to get the beast back on the road sooner

I can't remember if I mentioned it earlier and am too lazy to look back, but my exhaust has a few leaks so I'm just going to get a new one. Just needs to be replaced from the cat back. Anybody got suggestions on brands etc...?

Slowly getting there... One more door to strip back and then the boot... Which I have started, and is near impossible as I seem to have done at least a dozen coats... Idiot.

Colour wise. I sort of miss the matte black  so am thinking about redoing it again. But to a better finish of course. Will just need to be more cautious whilst doing boot/bonnet and roof as they were the weak points in my first attempt.

Priming.

Forgot that my gun was playing up and pretty much did the worst first couple coats ever. But the good thing about acrylic paint is I can just sand back a couple mm and back to it

Finally decided (again) on colour. Going with Congo green from the BA GT range. I initially picked it for my xf but thought it would look sensational on the el with (or without) the kit.

Straying from the more exotic colours so if I want to rock the standard mont bars it won't look silly
