So traded my unregistered dying NF on a 87 XF sedan.

It's a 5 speed, 200000 kms, body is ok for a car it's age, interior is in good nick but needs industrial strength cleansing as the seats are prett gross, it's on gas, lifters seem a bit noisy, and previous owner fitted some extractors, low springs and shocks and a CD player.

My plans are to;

Get the engine running nice, general new car duties, change oil/coolant/air filters etc

Slotted rotors and pads

Change the interior to black, trims/dash/carpet/seats etc

Lower it more evenly

Fit 2 1/2" exhaust to give it a nice note

Straighten the body and give it a respray.

Some rims. Not sure on size or style yet. I love the BA XR8 18"s on these old falcons, but depending on the colour I go, some simple 5 spokes in chrome or shadow chrome may be the go.

I haven't dealt with cars running on gas before, so if anyone has tips, please let me know

Will load pics soon

Trial fitted my 19" dark agents... Not the look I'm after but still looks good.

Have had all the dash out and re-sprayed to black/grey combo.

Putting the dash back in was a pain in the a**... But I got there eventually.

Looking in the engine bay, I don't have a coolent overflow chamber...? Not sure if this is normal as I have seen them on other xf models... And also, one of the gas system components is in the place of where the windscreen washer fluid chamber goes, so it's just sitting in the engine bay until I can get a smaller one and mount it elsewhere...

Sanded the body back and put some primer down. Will work on inside doors in the coming days. Turned out ok so far. Considering I need a new spray gun... Badly
