1st update in 6 months kinda shows how the gearbox issues have been going.........
On a better note I took it to the drags last Wed night and got a 13.034@102mph best, still not 100% in the gearbox and convertor but best it has been, so Im now going to burn the C4, lol. In conclusion, do not go to ATC @ parramatta for a gearbox or Dominello for a convertor as they both do not stand by their word and their word is not worth s**t. we proved the gearbox has been the issue by going to someone else who had a quick fiddle and told us it would fix it a bit but not totally unless we spend more money i dont have on the box, his quick fix gained .9 of a sec and 16mph proving the problem has been in the box all along. So after spending $3500 on gearbox and convertor it makes a good paper weight and neither of the above companys are willing to even acknowledge they have stuffed up. But you live and learn and move on as there is more important things in life than poor service and losing money, I will let Karma take care of the rest. As for whats next, keep watching this space as the next stage is about to begin: 1st is handing in the plates when the rego runs out next week, then throwing out the sohc motor and slipping in a BA XR6T motor and going from there, stripping out the interior and putting the car on a massive diet should help with the times also.

I just dropped the back seats and it had lots of cool air from the front, while in line for the drags I used to flick on the a/c, lol, even cooler air....
but in an attempt to chase a bit more grunt we ended up putting a front mount on it, it did gain a little bit, but not much. less then 5 rwkw....

Is that gain consistent tho as i thought thats what a front mount was good for, maybe you could of had a bag of ice on the w2a heat exchanger?.

wouldnt a bag prevent airflow?

Over the heat exchanger it wouldnt matter for 13 second runs, the ice would absorb the heat better than air flow in the cabin would.

then you have the issue of water run off, thats a no no on the track...

The only way you coudl do it and get away with it would be by packing dry ice onto the core.
It just turns into gas (CO2) as it melts and Yobs car is plenty full of gas anyway when he is driving so some more would not have hurt!

When the ice melts he would of had water in his boot not on the track(w2a exchanger WAS in the boot), for a front mount a2a i would never dream of covering the intercooler.

Yeah it was in the boot but the water that would be in the boot from ice melting would of made its way out through the drain plugs etc and had the same result of getting onto the track.
