Figured it was time to make a build thread, if for no other reason than to have a good place to post for feedback

This is always going to be my daily, so I've been keeping things fairly simple.
Will post some pics later.

Stock standard, it's a black AU II XLS Ute.

Current Mods:
XR Front bar
Pacemaker Extractors
Exhaust -
It did have a single 2.75inch pipe on it when I bought it (guestimate of size only) but I got f*cked on by the EPA so had to get rid of it. Now I'm rolling twin 2.5 pipes.
Altezza Tail lights
Rims -
Came with the 17s that are on it atm, but I've got some 19s to stick on it which I basically got for free.
Sound system - Rolling all pioneer gear atm, don't know offhand what it is but I think it's something like 2 x 6x9s and 2 x 6s in the cab. Pioneer headset as well.
I did have a pair of kicker subs running off a kenwood amp, but they were rattling my car to bits. If anyone remembers me from last years Ford Cruise they'd know what I was talking about. Point being that I got rid of those, though I have plans for more subs. I'll elaborate on that a bit further down.
Interior Neons - Got 4 of those little LED neon bars in the cab, one in each footwell and one behind each tool box. Lights the little ute cabin up like a spaceship :D
Hardtop - Not tachnically a mod, I spose, but it's not factory and does make a big difference to the look.

I think that's about all that's been done so far. I'll upload pics later.

Future plans:

XR50 Bodykit: Just like the TS50 Kit but with the XR headlights. I've taken my poor ute four wheel driving once or twice and as a result my front bar is pretty much wrecked. On the upside, I was planning to put this kit on anyways. I already have the kit (front bar, rear bar and side skirts) I just have to paint it.

Respray: Once again... my paint job isn't in top condition due to aforementioned activities, so I'm going to spray the whole car. Originally I was just going to paint it the same colour, but now I'm thinking I might go a more "full on" black with a silver flake through it. We'll see, though. I've never done any real painting so we'll see how we go.

XR Dash cluster: I really should've just bought an XR, tbh. I think the xr cluster just looks alot better. I'm told the series 1 cluster won't work and I'm also not sure how "plug and play" the cluster will be with my car, I figure I'll probably need a different oil pressure sensor, but I'll work that out once I get the thing.

Sound System: Planning on getting a pair of pioneer 1400w subs and mounting them in the cab. I'm going to have to remove the toolboxes behind the seats and build some custom boxes to fit them. As well as putting in some tweeters. I'm thinking about running a three amp set up; one amp for each sub and a third for my speakers. We'll see how that goes, though.

Interior: I'm told that the seats/door trims from a BF will basically bolt straight across into my AU. I've been thinking about trying to track down the black and silver interior from the BF MK II XR, seats and door trims. Not sure what they're worth yet, so once I figure that out I'll make up my mind. I'll try to find a photo of the one I'm talking about, so maybe one of you will know.

LSD: Can't decide if it's worth getting an LSD or not.

Driven lsd's much ? They should be standard fitment in all utes. Dynamat does wonders for vibrations also.

Haha. Yeah, I'll get to the pics xD Just gotta find some cords to get the pics across... or take some new ones.

Yeah, have not had much experience with driving on an LSD.
Happen to know offhand if the sedan dif will bolt across to the ute?

Should mention I'm also sticking the FG side repeaters on it when I respray it.

Thinking about buying an XR 8 wreck atm. Would have alot of useful parts, including a V8 :D

let us know how the V8 thing goes, and also how the FG repeaters go... i was thinking of doing of the same, especially since my car is in desperate need of a respray.

I've been fairly busy.... the body kit is primed now, and half way on... will be done by the weekend, then I'll start with the other s**t.

Built a custom box and whacked three subs in the back of my ute :D Had to take the tool boxes out, but I'm going to build some in the tray.

I've gone back to rolling 4 x stockies for now.... I'm selling the rims and looking for new ones. :)

Will post up pics once the whole body kit is on. :D Hopefully y'all will see it at ford day anyways... those of you that are in vic, anyways.

It pumps pretty hard, too :D
Still need another amp. So far I'm running the two kenwoods off the one amp, and it's slightly underpowered.
You can't really see it but there's a speaker on either side of the subs, too.
I just basically took out the tool boxes and mounted that box into the tool box holes :D
Next stage as far as sound goes is flush mounting some tweeters into my dash.
Thinking I have to replace the front speakers, too.

They will have to wait 'till my paint job is done, though.
I've got the front and rear bar on now, leaving the side skirts off until I've primed the areas that they'll cover.
Will post some pics of that in the next few days. :D
