G'day ppl: I would like to get hold of a good Body Control Module (BCM) for a EF GLi. Preferably one that, once installed, will not need a thump on the dashboard to get the starter motor working!!

It is a low series BCM, being a GLi

If ya got one, pm me, but be patient, as I am not always near a computer due to travel. I am in Melbourne or Central Victoria

Cheers

I honestly don't remeber which colour it is. I only looked at it briefly about 3 years ago when I was having trouble with the starter motor. I have a vague idea it is green???

I am just sick of having to thump the dash each time (after 3 years :( :( )

It is a base model 1995 GLi wagon: wind up windows, no footwell lights., no rear passenger light, no extras, no nuthin'

If you have a soldering iron you can fix this without replacing it..

Take the BCM out of the car and remove it's cover, then you just need to solder up the dry joints on the back of the electrical connector, put it all back together and it should be as good as new..

nah, I think I will go for one that I know works. Knowing my luck, once I start soldering, nothin's gonna work ever again :D :D

Ronza youstill there? If your price is right, I can buy one off you. As I said it is low series, no extras.

My manual doesn't say what colour it is but asizzy says grey or black.
