sorry 6.
Because they are worth next to nothing and I will be running xr injection (300kpa) and a cop computer so it will be optimised for that. I know wade do regrinds for $122+postage+shims but when you can pick up xr cams for so cheap and still get decent economy why not install an xr cam? they run well Anyway enough with why im getting one, does anyone have one? |

I know I'm probably not helping but when I had my JMM cam installed in my XR6, I gave the XR cam to a mate, who had it installed in his 5 speed Futura. He said that he couldn't notice and difference. I thought it went a little harder, but it's his car, so he'd know... |

I should change cams when I do my BBM convirsion to that of an EL/EF so I figured go tickford. Also a series II EF fairmont ghia had the XR engine, as well as the EL fairy ghia so if anyone has a cam out of that I would be interested |

i agree, the cam might be slightly beefier.. but its f**k, not worth the change i rekon..
power figures were 157kw vs 164kw.. 7kw difference.. and not all of it came from the cam either

Keep in mind that XRs also had a 3.45 diff which makes them seem like the engine is putting out a lot more power than it really is in comparison with a normal 3.08 SS diff.

That's the one, and it's a big part of why the XR6 is a weapon. Also the fact that it seems to pull a lot harder and rev a lot better than a standard 4.0 litre... |
