well the this head has done 5000km since a full reco that cost me $450

thats a full set of exhaust valve guides
2 new valves and seats
3 spark plug threads had to be rethreaded
valve grind
and a 25thou skim

should be able to get it to you in the next 3 months or so.
as i said i wasn't planning on selling it so i have a bit of s**t to do befor i can get it to you

you'd be looking at over $1000 if you want it

I'd wanna ask *why* you want a XR6 head.

Go get a stock 4L head and spend the leftover money on some port work and a cam.

if you don't mind me asking is the bigger exhaust valves and the cam shaft the only major differences (besides stuff like the T logo on it, etc.)?

And this is all worth what.. a few KW?

Value for money? No!

Spend same money on porting and cam, and get change and 10-15RWKW - yes, thats value

exactly
my tickford 6 pulls maybe 5kw more than a stock 6.
really not worth the extra effort or money.
as waggin said, get your standard head ported or something, and for similar money you will get far better power.

not really. depends on who does the port job.
there is an ex member from here who spent alot of money getting there head ported and big cam and all of this so called good gear. and his AU is still no faster then my basicly stock XR6, on the street and on the track.
and hes using a 5 speed and 3.7:1 diff

and one more thing..
this thread is not 'should i get an XR6 head and is it worth it.'

it's not alway about how many KW you can get for the least amout of money. some times it a mater of only having your car off the raod for a few days instead of weeks waiting for a head to be ported.
and if he was to buy a stock head and get it ported with bigger valves
and a full reco he would still be paying what i want for this head. and may or maynot get any more power out of it. at least with a tickford head you know what you're getting

so how about you go away.

the man wanted and XR6 head so just leave it be
