What does everyone have against spacers??

I have had my spacers on the car for over a year, and have not had any issues. If they are done properly, You shouldn't have any issues. I constantly thrash my EF. The car has even done over 200kph without any issues.

Because they shortern the amount of thread that you have to do the nuts up with. Just not worth the risk. I'm not saying anything would go wrong, but I value my car and life more than the extra what $20.00 or what ever to get a hub adapter instead...
Also the factor studs arn't long enough to accomidate a bit enough spacer and still do the wheel on if you want the wheels out the proper width...

That line that I put in the larger font "If done properly" is there for a reason. On this site, I have not heard anything good about spacers.
I have had longer studs fitted, to counter the spacers.
The spacers that I have fitted are only 22mm. The longer wheel studs that I have on the car are 30mm longer than the standard ones.

I was told yesterday I would need 25mm spacers, at a cost of $120 each.

Or, I can get adaptors for $220 a set, which are known to be safer....

So basically by the time you replace your studs and fit the spacers it's probably costing the same if not more than hub adapters. And it's no safer or any other way advantagious. And it takes more time to fit etc. Were's the benifit in doing it your way?
