well i guess... show me what ya got :D

ideally the car will be roadworthy, low k's, runs well, im loving the tickford bodykit so if it had that it would defiantly make me horny for the sale :P.

Im aiming for around the 5-6 grand mark however if im shown something really special i might just take it for extra.

let the games begin!

those $$ mate will get you a fairmont with high kays.. if your lucky. have you even looked at the current market? a low K's EF/EL XR6 is still looking for about 9-10 grand, and thats auto, set of 15's stock as a rock with definatly no skirt kit.

Just have a look on Carsales.com.au, I did and thats what I found.

Sorry to burst your bubble. you may be looking for a high kay ED xr in average condition for those $$ mate.

Very true 6k will not get you a nice, low km example with options and accessories.

What it may get you is a high km, auto, standard XR6 in average condition.

The used car market may have taked a downturn in the past 6 months but there was no crash. For 6k you'd be looking at an EF Futura or something like that i would think. The markets saturated with used cars at the moment so most cars are taking a while to sell.

You can find absolute bargains out there, you just have to look around, no way in hell would i pay 8 to 9k for an EF/EL XR6, you'll get a nice XR8 like Kevs for that price.
And with the LPG rebate now, who really gives a s**t if it's got LPG or not. The worst part is the wait to have it converted.
I got my AU Fairlane 5.0 for 10k, i was lucky that i stumbled across a clean one, they were all asking around 14 to 16k.
Just take your time, don't rush and jump the first thing you see, if you're patient you will find what your looking for in your price range.

ive already enquired on the au and im now trying to figure out if ill take the plunge, i can scrounge up around 5000 to spend on it after ive bought it... so i can get the xr front, rwc, lowered, xr rims, the usual bit... however i want to get a respray...

how much is a full body respray on an au, for just a colour like envy green? im aware it varies but just a ballpark figure?
